9:38 In the earlier episodes, I gotta admit that I thought Sam raised red flags. But when I watched through the series, I realized how Sam's character was greatly molded by her upbringing. And seeing her cry and bow down to her grandmother despite of what the latter has done to her, I can only say that she's a pure loving person. She doesn't want to choose between her grandma and Mon as she treasures both family and love.

Sam is loyal. For her grandmother is her family and she couldn’t abandon her for Mon. If she had done so then in future she can abandon Mon also.

@@Moonlight_magicc To me, she doesn't have the strength to choose Mon unless her grandma gives her permission. This is a red flag that if her grandmother changes her mind, she will abandon Mon again. I would have preferred if Sam was respectful to her grandma, but in the end, made her own decision.

I love how mon's parents hug their daughter before let her go.. really sweet like real parents

It took her granddaughter going through severe depression for two months and kirk’s reconsideration for g’ma to show a shred of decency. Geez, bout time.

The last few minutes of this part never fail to crack me up. Grandma: You must keep your composure. Don't do anything inappropriate in public ok? 😮☝ Sam: Ok. 😇👍 Also Sam: immediately proceeds to break multiple traffic laws by speeding, being on the phone while driving, brake checking another car and forcing it to stop, then smooches another woman in the middle of a busy highway. Yeah, gurl definitely understood the assignment and aced the mission. 🤣🤣😂😂

I was really touched by the scene of Khun Sam kneeling in front of her grandmother. I have been to Thailand before and feel this as part of Thai culture: The act of reverence of young people towards the elders in the family. Khun Sam loves Mon but Khun Sam can not neglect her grandma who also loves, raises her for years and educate to current her. Khun Sam strictly keeps her promise that never leaving her grandma. Mon has great personality since she totally understand and do not ask Khun Sam to choose (The one that truly love you will never make you choose anything) . All the casts - wonderful.

Igual a.mi me agrado mucho la reverencia que le hace Sam a su abuela, le demostró el gran respeto que le tiene y cuando la abraza a la cintura arrodillada agradeciendo como una niña el permiso de su abuela, ahí entiendo muy bien a Sam porque yo también fui criada con ese gran respeto hacia mi abuela ni una grosería decir frente a ella. La abuela demostró que también la quiere al aceptar la propuesta de Kirk y ver qué Sam estaba muriendo lento y eso pudo más que su egoísmo y soberbia.

Sam really is the grand- daughter Lady Grandmother loves the most. In the end, grandmother went against everything she believes in and society so that Sam would be truly happy. Even if at this point, she didn't really understand Sam loving a woman but she let her go so that she could be happy. Kudos to the actresses

yes the Director of GAP added a small anecdote behind this scene as Duanpen first brought Sam to Mon, and it should also be the vehicle that brought them back together, driving Duanpen to reunite with Mon in the end. You can feel the Duanpen's "excitement" when Sam is on her way to reach Mon, the sound of the engine revving up 👏

I love how both the grandmother and Kirk understood Sam was not happy, they knew they were being selfish and just let her go. This line “It’s time that you choose the life that you want” was so heartfelt and the way Sam bowed down to her feeling so grateful, such a touching scene. Now they both can love one another better and Sam can be like a kid with her grandma 🥺 We knew Sam would run to follow her heart, to go after her girl and we were rooting for her. That’s the thing with good acting, you felt so connected with a character, you just want them to achieve the things they want. Sam was such a badass at the end that I thought Jim would have her baby right there 😅 the reunion was so cute. Love how Sam chose freedom and love came with it 💕

I didn't like how grandma was controlling Sam's life since the beginning but i am glad to see she finally understood that this is not the right way, Sam has her own happiness and she sees it in Mon. Tbh not many people will change and will let their kid live their own life but there are very few parents who were toxic but came to understand their kid

I really respect that the story didn't end with Grandmother still being the villain and Sam and Mon running away or being estranged from her. In relationships, the most important thing is shared values. Both Sam and Mon believe that family and honor are the most important things in the world. Mon is never angry with Sam about her choice, because she understands why Sam makes that choice, and Mon would do the same thing in that position. It just shows that they really are a perfect for each other, and it makes it a much happier ending when everyone is together.

Exactly, if Sam had abandoned her grandma for Mon just as we saw in the beginning of the episode they would not have been happy. The guilt would have torn apart Sam, and Mon knowing that Sam was suffering because of the decision to be with her would have eventually ruined their relationship.

Concordo super com sua visão, pois esse respeito que a Mon teve com ela é o que mais a fez ter a certeza de que a Mon era a pessoa certa. No início tinha ficado triste por a Sam ter ido correndo para a avó, mas isso só mostra o quanto ela é puro amor e que era muito grata por quem a criou independente do quão mal a avó estava fazendo para ela. Porque é realmente assim, não é tão fácil cortar laços com aqueles que te acompanharam desde pequeno. E a série mostrou isso, que ela, apesar de tudo amava a avó a ponto de sacrificar a felicidade dela para que a avó não morresse. Ela se sentiria muito culpada se isso acontecesse da mesma maneira a Mon pois ambas são muito família e é o que deixou tudo ainda mais bonito. A Mon ter sido paciente com ela e ter entendido porque também faria a mesma escolha❤

Na série só foi possível a Sam conseguir a aprovação porque a avó refletiu porque a neta mais velha foi corajosa o suficiente para jogar a verdade na cara dela e a Sam estar caminhando para a depressão também ajudou ela ter mudado de ideia.

The people who have families that are homophobic, and are still brave enough to be who they are openly, have a separate story. Eu quero falar que a Freen fez um grande trabalho. A postura dela perto da avó, tão submissa e baixa, se curvando pra baixo mesmo quando está ereta. A postura perto da irmã que ela ama e respeita. A postura perto das outras pessoas, tão fria e seca, sempre de nariz em pé. A postura dela perto das amigas, é distante mas próxima ao mesmo tempo, com amor e cuidado pelas amigas. E a postura dela com a Mon, as vezes ativa, as vezes passiva, sempre sorrindo e carinhosa, cuidadosa, protetora e ciumenta. São personalidades diferentes e a Freen soube mostrar tudo isso.

I think the most touching moment in the entire series is when Sam gets down on his knees in front of Grandma and thanks her for letting her be happy with whoever she wants. I watch it now again and I almost cry, exactly like the first time.

Yo apenas empecé a ver la serie hace 2 semanas, ya es mi segunda vuelta 😂 pero en este episodio no dejo de llorar.

Ele agiu errado várias vezes? Sim. Mas no fundo ele quer o bem dela. Isso é muito lindo, deixar a pessoa ir pois ela não é feliz com você e aceitar isso.
