Oh boi I've already dead few times because of these kinda activities...I remember when I was in junior high school and had no friends since I moved from a smaller city, I had panic attack and anxiety first months and that happened again in senior high school where I had to humiliated myself in front of new people just because I forgot to bring my DUST PAN....as an introvert every single time was torturing me and I wanted to die on spot.... It's Asian thing bro almost all the students in engineering colleges and department in Asia are guys, majority of girls don't study engineering because of sexism and patriarchy in the field specially in mechanical branch, girl/boy ratio may be 3/57 in a classroom and most of the gay couple rumours always comes from there branch,sometimes they have hostel only for engineering students. But it’s getting better nowadays because most governments and education ministries have prohibited hazing activities for new students. I remember when hazing didn't mean anything like this... in my college, my seniors were really nice... they did ask our names and high school questions...but everything was enjoyable and never out of limits...people knew how to make and take jokes but never cross boundaries. I like how they knew from looking at a person how to interact with them and this made us both respect and love them. After the initial 1 month I remember sitting with, joking with them, playing or going to competitions with them. I always thought this was necessary as it established a relation of senior junior respect. Hazing should be in limit and never to make people uncomfortable, then it just becomes plain ragging, bullying and harassment. ....I know it's exaggerated for the show but in my nation I have heard and seen some real horrific casualties of this in other colleges.
