I Got Seoul이에요 if this world was less disgusting, we wouldn't need to "stay strong" to live. That's why this negligence and injustice with how people treated this beautiful man full of love, got him taking his own life after suffering so much. They took out of him every human simple need and gave him money to fill the hole... He worked his whole life to make his family to have stability but got himself destroyed by those who were paying him and those who blamed him for not being able to work as a slave.

@@auraacqua9434 those are your own ideas about his experience, you dont actually know what he was going through. jonghyun himself said he had seasonal depression since he was young, even before being an idol. depression can effect you even if your life was perfect, its a disorder and related to chemical imbalances in your brain.

@@andreisdead2830 I get why some people think he may have been gay or bi but I don't really get that from him at all🤔, from interviews and variety shows where he talked about dating, girlfriends, ex girlfriends, ideal women (hello baby shin se kyung). From my observations he had great charms with women... and I think homoerotic kpop pairings can be damaging to an idol that's actually heterosexual but yes, you're right we will never know. Their sexuality and love lives is up for debate until the cows come home

So heartbreaking to know he won't have that future he wanted, a family of his own that would bring him happiness. 💔

It was a surprise because as idol he is not allowed to be intimate with any woman even within their company....by the time he turns 35(which will no longer happen) he will have that freedom....Jjong’s statement “ well you guys all know” refers to that notion that they dont have that freedom (that choice) to be in a relationship...that’s why Minho said you will be unemployed because when they decide to have a girlfriend that’s the end of “employment” as idols. Imjust sad people look at him as sexually confused when it is clear that he wanted to have a family...💖🦖

Reading the old comments hurt so much...jonghyun must be so proud of how far they've come and how they can stay strong together as shinee

Now, none of us know SHINee so honestly, none of us can actually know what is going on either way. But for me personally, although they start out joking and being sarcastic, it seems that at around the 42 second mark, Jonghyun becomes somewhat serious about it. Again, none of us are ever gonna know for sure, but I feel like they wouldn't just bring this kind of subject up for nothing, and treat it somewhat awkwardly if it wasn't something serious.

Nickllllllllll They are both supporting human wellness. Not gay marriage. A healthy society have no discrimination. You don't have to be gay to support gay rights, you don't have to be black or a woman to support equality. Jonghyun and Key are just too good as humans and most people are disgraceful to each other. You all misunderstood everything, I did not said it minimizing his death as if getting married it's more important that his mental health, I just meant that it's so sad how a person (it could be anyone) can end his life for things that we can't even understand and they seemed bright and full of live with future plans. And no. I'm not insensitive, if you think that I can't understand the feeling of losing someone important for you at such young age for suicide, let me tell you that it's been two months that one of my best friends (he became my best friend when we broke up, he was my boyfriend for two years and my best friend for almost 6 years) he comitted suicide at the age of 18. And to compare it with what I said in my first comment... I didn't meet with my friend for a long time because I had to leave the country but we kept in contact, I knew all of his personal situation and I never left him alone, but I was like three countries apart, he said that he would meet me again because he had plans of leaving our country, that conversation was just 3 days before his death and I regret so much not answering his last message. I know that you don't even care of what happened to me and maybe for you it's boring to read, but it really makes me angry that you misunderstood me with this kind of situation. And yes, my english it's shit, i'm not a native speaker, sorry. I hope that now you understand what I meant.

"by then, you might have a choice" was adding to the homosexual joke saying that by the time jonghyun is 35 (note, this is an old interview so 35 seemed like centuries away at the time), gay marriage may be legal in korea. "choice" was in regards of the law, not of jonghyun's sexuality. he was basically saying (in a joking way) "oh common, by the time you're 35 you could probably marry a man so why limit yourself to a woman!" like as a gay, i wish my ult bias was really bi more than anything but yall,,,, it aint that deep.

I have never seen a bunch of people project their own fantasies and wishes on another person as much as in this video clip. Holy fuck. How about “by then you will have made your choice” or translated as he will have found his choice to marry. And saying it will be a woman, it’s totally sarcastic and said as a way to deflect because he’s not comfortable giving more details. This is a big reason why he killed him self. He hated being famous and the fact that he couldn’t just live his life, have a freaking relationship like everyone else without being picked apart. Funny how “fans” don’t even see that they are a big part of driving him to such sadness and isolation and he said so in his letter. He wasn’t free to love and have a damned life. He probably had feelings for someone and dreamed of marriage. He wrote so obviously how he was lonely and wished to come home to someone at the end of a hard day. He wanted to dote on someone and was sensitive and romantic. Instead, stupid intrusive people go on casting him as their LBGT mascot and just because one supports equality doesn’t give anyone the right to create stories for his life. His life is not your damned story. I feel so sad for him. Such a beautiful person.

The comments by Onew are maybe intended as a joke, but Key was quite serious. Also, if Jonghyun truly was 100% straight, he wouldn't say he's marrying a woman, straight people don't say that because it's the default setting :D So maybe bisexual Jonghyun is not that far-fetched..

I think Onew is referring to the fandom and the fact that Jonghyun marrying a woman is a 'surprise', because its like a forbidden thought to the fans lol. Some fans really believe that he's never dated or that he's single and perhaps by saying 'You all know', he's referring to the girl he's seeing or wants to see.

Not gonna jump to conclusions about his sexual orientation.. but just a point to consider, if he was actually straight and his members all knew that, why would Key tell him he will have a choice? People are pretty funny, lol. He said his wife first of all has to be a woman, to clarify underneath that he likes women and already. Onew says "Oh really?" As we would say to someone who has said that the sky is blue when we all know. But as JongHyun said in an interview, no matter what he says, no, people always take their words differently and make a thousand theories, wow, now I understand what he meant when he said that so sad. Key gives his personal opinion, why everything relates to Jjong? They are not Siamese, And neither Siamese think the same. Do you know? They should respect a person's words, because if they do not, that person will sooner or later start feeling lonely and thinking that no one listens to him when he can talk about something and I do not just talk about Jjong or just about this issue, I say it in general .

I've seen those photos, too, but I'm still not swayed. He's a pretty big playboy. He's just very open and non judgmental. He promotes gay rights in Korea and is the king of skin ship. There isn't a doubt in my mind that he is straight but, even if he weren't, it wouldn't change anything. A lot of rumors spread about him after he said, "different doesn't mean wrong" and when he supported his friend who was a male to female. I know what video you're talking about. I don't think it was an erection though. I've watched it a couple of times (because I'm a Jonghyun perv...) and I've seen some awkward pictures of him wearing harnesses... I think he's just a "big" fella. With that, he is kinda awkward when the first started wearing tight pants. In a video, they made fun of him and made him sit with his legs wide open and he was very embarrassed. I think he's just aware of his size and tries to hide it. But, like you said, any man would react with some kind of stimulation and that's normal. I wouldn't say he was bi though... just metro :) Key, on the other hand, I love that man... but I think he's bi :)

I like how some people think Onew was the one who outed Jonghyun, but I think it might be more of Key who may have with that comment...if he didn't say anything I literally would have thought they were just kidding around but than Key said that and well...it sounded like Jonghyun may have took that to heart, but maybe that's just my opinion. Straight/gay/unicorn I don't care, he'll be my ultimate bias no matter what his sexuality is :)

Yes, but fans inevitably only see tiny fractions of the idols' real lives, and their private lives in particular are a complete mystery, so it's up to fans to choose to to interpret those little pieces of information how they want, as long as they don't hurt anybody.
