i'm going to cry, why is rui and nene friendship so wholesome!!! i already get emotional over both of their developments in the story on a good day so getting blatantly slapped in the face with it here was just deadly honestly. they really have come so far from having only each other to having found these other people who so genuinely love and care about them, and wanna follow their dreams together, i might cry over them all. it's also doing Something to me seeing how seriously they're taking things here regarding their future. like. it's actually real that they're all actively working toward being professionals and changing their approaches toward everything to account for that!! also lmao at rui commenting on the book thing, he has a way of somehow always having proud parent energy with nene (and emu too)

I’m here again :) Thank you for the translations as always! I love Rui and Nene interactions a lot as they are extremely heartwarming (and tbh, they sometimes look like an old couple lol). To me, it’s second only to Mizuki and Rui and that’s just because I have a special liking to people living in isolation finding friends. If I read correctly, there are relationship charts for people within their groups (like WxS has their own relationship chart and it has 4 versions now?) and only Rui had his comment for Nene updated every single time. It really shows how he treasures his first actress as a director. She’s the first one who accepted him for who he is and in turn, he created Nenerobo for her when she couldn’t be on stage (and that’s considering Rui was still in isolation at the time). They’re so close that he calls Nene without any prefixes (he still calls Tsukasa and Emu with -kun), and only Mizuki and Nene have been exceptions to this rule. To see both of them chase their dreams together and in better places after a year is just so heartwarming. Another thing about this is that I also like seeing Rui actively reading books and becoming a better director instead of an inventor. It shows everyone is actively improving themselves for the sake of the team, and it fits his role as a “showtime ruler” a lot - to connect everyone by letting them feel the same emotions after watching his production, as well as supporting the cast and his friends from behind by guiding them better. His inventions are extremely cool and all, but they serve the purpose of making the shows better instead of being independent. Though, it should be fine for Rui too since both directors and inventors need lots of creativity, and he has… quite a lot of that. Nene reading only picture books is quite funny to me (though it doesn’t sound out of character for me lol). Also Rui that school uniform is… uhh… idk how to comment anymore lol. I do look forward to see how the future plays out for them - it’s as if they’re playing out a show for us as fictional characters and I hope it continues on. Once again, this is so sweet and thank you for your hard work :)

I swear, the writers are trying to do something with these two, ruinene as a romantic or platonic pairing is just amazing
