I feel like the problem is not because he doesn’t know, but because he knows too much (languages). I’m using two languages, and it’s already confused me… btw, Riki definitely learned those Chinese sentences from LeLush 😆

I hv the same problem tho... I speak malay english and sometimes mandarin and korea also...watching thailand series make me studying this language too..😂 .. So... I even forgot a few word in my own language instead i remember in other language. 😂😂 thats make my friends confuse a lot bcoz i hv to interact with them... 😂😂😂

Rikimaru could not speak his native language well, but his English is way better than average Japanese, and somehow he studied Portuguese in the college and now he is trying to pick up Chinese. He is probably challenging himself 💪🏻💪🏻 BTW, the last part of the video with Rikimaru and Lelush’s Chinese comparison is cute

HAHAHAH HE'S SO CUTE But I somehow can understand his pain 😆 after i learned a third language, i can't form a sentence properly in one language, i tend to mix them all up especially when i speak 😂 then when I started learning my fourth language, everything go haywire 🌚 so i can't make up my mind which language I am best at now since I feel like I'm good at none, i bet riki feels this way too 😂

I’m Japanese and around the same generation as Riki. So I saw that he and his little sister have appeared on Japanese TV shows many times as talented young dancers since they were junior high school students. Riki at 03:52 was a high school student (about 10 years before) and I saw the show at that time. The host didn’t stop asking him like “Are you really Japanese?” because his sister was speaking Japanese fluently as a native speaker. I still remember that the host nagged about his way to speak and that I felt uncomfortable about it. Anyway, he has been always that way.

I feel like that too, it makes me uncomfortable. for many people who watch it may be a funny entertainment to laugh at. but not for rikimaru, it must be an emotional stress in itself, especially at such an early age. although it's entertaining but I'm worried about rikimaru's psychology, not being able to speak your mother's language is not something to be laughed at. I'm afraid he's going to get even more insecure :(

I just wanted to say that we should consider that the cause could be something sensitive to him and that settling wrong assumption among fans could make him hurt.

I totally relate. I can't speak my native language really well I most often forget the words or the pronunciation or I mix the sentence construction, but I'm okay with english. I am also trying to learn, japanese and Chinese. And boi, things can be really confusing. Hahaha. Sometimes i forget words in my native language and speak them in Chinese or japanese and then realize my family can't understand both languages. Hahahaha

I started loosing my thai after learn Chinese 😂 but thanks to my younger sister because she keep asking me to translate thai, so my thai not go away too far~~~🤣
