It's been four years and it still baffles me how much hate Yunjin got for taking the main vocal part when... she's the best here. No shade to Nako (since she only started receiving proper vocal training during the show and was a VERY promising vocal during the show's runtime), but Yunjin easily surpasses her. Stability, support, proper belting. This shouldn't have even been a viable debate...

Tbh, it's not really smart of her to take the center part from Nako. Even without the center position, the members will still very likely to give Yunjin a lot of lines and high notes because this song is hard. Mnet won't have the chance to evil-edit her

@@ispeakcockney5387 mnet didn't even evil edit her, she did absolutely nothing wrong, she didn't "take" the part from nako, she asked for a chance to prove herself but nako GAVE her the part because she knew Yunjin deserved it, she even cried because she felt bad for nako. Yunjin deserved that main vocal position from the very beginning, she was the best vocalist in that group by miles. People only got mad because enact was a darling and had more fans, so they felt nako was wronged when she never was.

I've just watched produce 48 . And I thought that both of them were going to debut together in izone ( I didn't know the members in izone who were) but unfortunately they didn't debut together that time but finally I'm happy they are going to debut together along with sakura under HYPE .

Yun jin deserved better. People here are judging her beacuse she asked for a second chance to be a main vocalist. It was reasonable to ask for it, she did want a fair game and was willing to see the members vote for the main vocal a second time. When Nako gave her the position, Yun jin was even shocked and if you watched the actual SHOW, you guys would know how hard she shook her head because she didn't think that Nako will give up the position that easily. She even cried because she couldn't believe it. She thought that this would be her last stage that was why she wanted to showcase her vocals at least once. And she was already on the edge of getting eliminated because she was on rank 22 and the next elimination will be limited to 31. If you are a trainee in a small company, also pledis is a company who can't handle their artists very well, seventeen were just the lucky ones. Also ka eun being by her side and her hearing ka eun's story. Of course anyone in her place would be desperate. Because if she gets eliminated, there will be nowhere to go back to, she'll just go back to the practice room and practice until her company decides to debut her. So, fucking stop judging her.

@@metamon2704 you are preaching about korean and Japanese culture . Here people are talking about empathy and what actually happened. A country's culture shouldn't be an excuse to cover what's right. Yunjin rightfully deserved the main vocal position and not the hate she recieved cause of evil editing. The hate would've have been justified if she had messed up or ruined the performance but she was the one who truly supported the entire performance. Nako as much as I like her and her singing, her voice is really not cut out for itnw mainvocal or holding long highnotes . Her voice is quite nasally and frankly it wouldn't have been as good as it is here if she was the main vocal.

@@metamon2704 you are indeed preaching. Going under every comment similar to this and saying that op doesn't know about korean or japanese culture. The show was rigged for God sake. They had to eveil edit talented ones to get them out and make way for the ones whose companies had bribed them. This is the fact. Korean/japanese culture that you are talking about has no part in this because nako gave up her position since she was in a foreign country and all the Japanese trainees were like this. Japanese trainees only voted for other japanese trainees which made it hard for the group. Also yunjin was the best singer in the show in terms of voice, face, technique, stability everything. It's a survival show and she politely asked for a revote she didn't force or even ask nako to give up. The truth is this performance wouldnt have been this good if nako was the main vocal.

During the discussion, Nako and Yunjin both wanted the main vocal position so the rest of the team would vote. They both showed their abilities and Nako won. Yunjin - worrying about her ranking - wanted to have another chance to show her vocal and politely asked for another evaluation. Nako then handed the position to Yunjin without the re-voting. Yunjin cried and was extremely thankful to Nako. But some mean-spirits people see it as Yunjin being selfish (which I don't understand, this is a show where they have to fight for viewers' votes and the mentors' validation) and hated on her. ITNW was the performance that Yunjin asked for the main vocal position. And I think we can all agree, she killed it.

People who hated on Yunjin for wanting the center spot aren't thinking straight. Nako was way more popular than her and was constantly within the Top 12, whereas Yunjin's rank was inconsistent and she could've been eliminated. She had one of the best voices on the show (arguably more suited to this song than Nako), and this was basically her last chance to make an impact. If you had a voice like hers and was in her position, no doubt you would do the same.

There was that great vocalist girl in season 1 who was LITERALLY SULKING AND RUINING THE MOOD BECAUSE SHE WAS NOT CHOSEN AS LEAD VOCAL. Yunjin asked nicely. People only wanted morr Nako time. Cant blame them. Girl is adorable af. But then Yunjin is a fricken angel. That voice sounded so....free.

You have no idea how pissed I was when Yunjin was eliminated. She's literally so talented I can't even describe it in words. The immense relief I felt when she debuted in Le Sserafim. I'm happy she's got her chance to showcase her talents.

I can’t agree with you. Blaming Nakochan’s fans is not a good idea to support Kirin-chan. I’m a Nako’s fan and I know that Nako chose to give her center position to YunJin. @@Bora-qm8of there arent any "official" announcements yet but it doesnt seem like theyre hiding it either. woollim sold chaewons contract to hybe and yunjin has been moved from pledis to soumu (the company which will manage the new gg). sakura was also reported to be escorted by hybe security when she came back to korea a few days ago so i think this is all true

If Minju totally agreed into joining the new hybe gg the group would have been jacked with real visuals. Understandable, though, it’s easier for those ex-members who went solo to interact with each other in public but Ive’s WY and YJ aren’t allowed to do so and it’s sad.

Uri yunjin was an opera singer. No wonder she has such powerful vocal. Let's debut kirin chan

Everyone HATED Yunjin for asking if she could be center when this aired. After rewatching this, this performance was so great because Yunjin was center. I absolutely adore Nako but i don’t think it would have sounded as good if she were center vocal. Nako can hit high notes but they usually sound nasally and thin.

Yunjin's voice is still good even now, she can even sing her own songs well, the only thing that makes her voice bad is, the song Le Sserafim is out of her vocal range, but if she does operas, covers or solos her voice is good until now, see the video at My channel, there you can see Yunjin singing

Technically yunjin voice is no.1, but for voice color i guess people get attracted more to chaewon voice because it is unique yet soothing. Nako voice is actually falsetto type so its kind of hard to judge, sometime it is really good sometime it sound too nasally. Moe and erii did good as subvocals, fighting for all the members

You know, i always think that chaewon really resembles chungha in many ways, both her voice and her looks. At first, chungha's voice didnt really catch people attention because people more focus for yeonjung and sejeong (in ioi) . But people start to notice her when she sang for the sub unit and ost. I believe people would appreciate chaewon's vocal more in the future because i think she has potential, with proper training and guidance to be main vocal along with yuri and maybe nako. We just didnt get to see her full potential yet in the show. But in terms of dancing, she may not stand in par with chungha, chaeyeon winning this one. Anyway, this is my opinion, you can disagree tho 🤗

Yunjin was no. 1 in technique because she learned opera singing previously. But Chaewon's voice character was so unique and captivating, eventho it was not as technically advanced as yunjin's. Anw, I love how both of them gave emotion in their voice and made the song more alive

2:42 this part always makes me want to cry 🥹 it’s so beautiful. yunjin deserved so much better is PD48. she has amazing stability, lots of experience, and she’s just an amazing vocalist overall. i’m glad she spoke up that day, and i’m glad she finally made her debut. she was my favorite from the beginning.

Actually, after watching this performance I could understand why Chaewon is #1. Never noticed her before she caught my attention here with her voice and expressions. She may not have the most highlighted lines in the song but whenever it's her turn to sing, there is so much substance and depth that I can't begin to describe in detail. Not saying that the others are not good singers. It's just that something about Chaewon made her special in this stage.

I still can forget how sad I was when Yunjin was eliminated. She was so brave to voice out her opinion because she knew what she could bring to the table. KNetz took it differently though. I thought that time Yunjin might be too much as a rookie or trainee idol for the KNetz as she can speak english and grew up in another country. She has also set a high standard at that time given that she was trained to sing opera songs. She was really confident and charming and really fun to watch. However I cannot imagine her to be in izone and be with many members. Her vocals stand out because of her unique tune and wonderful register. Can't imagine her singing La Vie En Rose or Panorama though. 😅 But really happy for her making a debut in HYBE. Hopefully SourceMu can promote her vocals better and wiser. She is an ace. Her dance skills are awesome, too. Her stage presence is undeniably strong. Yunjin go go go!

But still Nako who was the main vocal at the first place had to compromise as well, and we all know Nako is kind of person who would never say no or any rejection in those situations cause of her kindness.

Yunjin was always fit for that role, she was never able to showcase her actual vocal ability except for this performance alone. and it’s true that nako could never sing that great, yunjin deserved the main vocal position and she did absolutely amazing. she didn’t ‘snatch’ nako’s position, she was always the worthy one.

PD48 is over but I still cant accept the hate on Yun Jin. I dont see anyone outshining each other. and Yun Jin cause no harm to their performance in fact she nailed it!!

so sad that the only time chaewon is really getting recognition people are saying others deserved number 1...just because your fav didn’t get number 1 doesn’t = bad. there is obviously reasons why the crowd liked chaewon so much, stage presence + beautiful aura + pretty and smooth vocals, etc. All of the girls did SO GOOD !! all of them !!! and constantly commenting about who deserved number one isn’t going to change anything. It’s 2024 and still not over Yunjin’s performance her. Still can’t believe she’s this talented and didn’t debut and it makes me sad that she gave up on her dream of being an idol. Thank goodness HYBE convinced her to come back because it would be a waste if she wasn’t an artist.

今更ながらのコメントになるけど、 オンエア見たらキリンちゃんなんも悪いことしてないのに笑 もう一度チャンスをくれないかって頼んだら奈子が変な空気になるよりかはキリンちゃんがセンターやってって言ったからキリンちゃんも申し訳なさそうにしてたし、よく見ずに叩く人は見てて気分悪いですよね(語彙力)

chaewon really a dark horse in this performance, everyone was fighting wether its yunjin or nako then here comes the queen proving everyone is wrong. shes like woojin in last season, came in 1st between the famous trainees. she did so well tho with the little parts she got. Fighting Kim Chaewon!!💪

Chaewon is really a dark horse not just in this performance but also in the whole program. Many did not expect her to be on the final line up but princess Chaewon did 💓

허윤진 뮤지컬했었음... 성량 진짜 대박이다 개인적으로 나코 좋아하지만 비음이 좀 심해서 이런 약간 잔잔하지만 울림있는 노래는 허윤진이 더 어울린다고 생각함

came back here after reading the articles that yujin and chaewon will debut together. the power vocals they hold 👏🏻

이때까지만 해도 채원이가 메보감은 아니었는데 진짜 엄청 성장한 듯 연습생 기간이 짧은 편인데도 실력도 좋고 귀여운 외모랑 끼도 많고 이래서 인기가 많구나 새삼 느낌 허윤진이랑 재데뷔하면 다시 이 조합을 볼 수 있네
