(Macedonia's offical name as the real Macedonia is a Greek region) is trying to do is relate themselves to the region due to their geographical proximity to the historical region so they can claim to be descendants of Alexander the Great, which might be partially true but most of the people who are settled in FYROM today aren't even historically or ethnically Greek and migrated there long after Alexander's time
