【Synopsis】Set in the Shanghai Shores at the beginning of the 20th century, where warlords begin to seize their powers; many heroes emerge, and revolutionary movements begin to rise. Making use of their wealth, the influential Rong family often abused their powers to commit various heinous crimes. In order to uphold justice, Feng Shizhen decide to embark on the road of revenge. She successfully sneaked into the Rong family, and became a tutor of the young master Rong Jiashang. However, in the midst of testing and making use of each other, Feng Shizhen slowly finds herself falling for the enemy's son. When the truth of the injustice and grievances that happened twenty years ago begin to surface, the two lovers who were initially in two different camps work together to brave through numerous hurdles, and ultimately reveal the shocking truth.

Jingtian is soo beautiful . This also has Rattan vibe , I'm so in love with her acting
I just finished watching the last episode and back here to drop the comment saying. THIS DRAMA IS WORTH TO WATCH TO THE POINT THAT YOU WONT MIND HAVING EYEBAGS AND HEADACHE DUE TO LACK OF SLEEP 😅

Beautiful drama. Jing Tian is such a good actress. I wach before Ratan and The Legend of Zhuohua . All story was happy ending and good scenario.

I love Republican era dramas. It's the time of my grandmother. Fantastic details. The cars and houses. Timmy Xu an amazing actor not to be missed. When they danced as a child I was reminded of Fred Astair and Ginger Rogers. ✌❤

O my God the dance part is an art..
I binged 12 episodes already. It’s so good! There some long drawn out scene when they look at each other but holy cow if this wasn’t such a captivating show. I’m excited to see where this goes. JingTian is so pretty and the chemistry between Timmy and her work very well. Overall, I’m happy!

Me too, watched 12 episodes. By accident I checked the comments on Douban from those who read the book and found the future story will have shocking twists and turns. This is going to be exciting.
I love this new tv show cdrama city of streamer 2022 it is my new favorite tv show now of 2022. the actor guy is so cute.

I loved Timmy the most in " Addicted " , when he acted as Bai Lu Yin . He was outstanding !
So far the drama is unfolding very nicely and love the atmosphere of this period. The cinematography is stunning to look at. I have to pause every now and then just to admire the work of art that is this world we are presented!😀

Tango in "penny loafer" shoes. Loved the wholesomeness and intensity- so beautiful.

She’s even more beautiful in “The King of Blaze”;season one and season 2 …it’s an older series ..this actress is really very good at her work
It's a enjoyable TV drama, timmy xu looks very smart in suit made to measure.
They were the only couple who were dancing a Tango. Others are doing Waltz. LOL

Jing Tian just aced these Republican Era tv series! I wouldn't mind if they have her worked on a 3rd project in this time setting, maybe one that focus on dance competing because that dance scene was perfect! And she gets paired with handsome actors. It was Zhang Bin Bin and now Xu Wei Zhou.

And place set in old Shanghai [in Si Teng (Rattan) -- w Zhang BB.] / _The Glory of Tang Dynasty_ II she was in beautiful Traditional Hanfu. JT has been always a Leading Actress in the Dramas List since 2009. [Legend of Banshu was an "Ace". Cheers

Conjecture: When FL was eating with the Rong, the way she shared glances with ML when she denied knowing him makes it seems like she was trying to get closer to him via sharing a secret with him. The fact that she lied to Mrs. Rong seems to be her messaging to ML that she was on his side? Course it isn't genuine since she's actually a spy. The dancing scene makes me wanna learn ballroom dancing.
Love this drama. 100/10. Chemistry is sizzling. No dragging, all episodes good to watch.
