After 30 years the abandoned house has no food but it has: electricity, a running water supply, gas, pots, pans, plates cutlery, clean bedding and sheets for all the beds, precious photos lying around. Everyone who came also came packed with enough clothes to stay indefinitely 😅

From the very beginning this mom has made me angry until now I was like yes daddy tell her off

This episode showed all of the emotions of a family when the mother is sick with a serious illness. The children feeling that they need to take care of their mom; the husband feeling that he has been abandoned and not told what is happening with his wife and the wife/mother feeling that she didn't want to be a burden to her children. All of the actors did a wonderful job in portraying their feelings from their own character's perspective. What I really liked though was the fact that they finally realized that rather than pushing their mother into treatment, they needed to help her in the way that she wanted to be helped. For any of you who go through this, please allow the person to face death the way that they want to. Don't push them into what you think they should do. This episode was a great example of what a family should do. Thank you.

Thank you for your comments. The range of feelings that a family experiences was really well done.The acting was wonderful through this whole drama, but I also feel that a person has the absolute right to decide their own medical treatment. I know that the motivation was love but when they said they would make her go back for treatment, I was so upset with the writers. I watched the last years of my Mom's and older sister's lives be devastated by the "standard" medical treatments. The best thing is to find information for the one who is ill and let them decide. Then support and love them with your whole heart. I do love how the mother and daughters relationship was able to grow and withstand change. I do wish that after the family scene, there could have been one last love scene with the ML and the FL. They were so good together 😊

Having such a caring family is a lucky of a person ❤❤❤

I miss myself writing comments. Positive comments are food of the soul. Sometimes we cannot ourselves when some serious problem occurs. As a family we do not take granted feelings of others. Serious or not WE HAVE TO SUPPORT EACH OTHER- Everyone counts. This series is wonderfully done and the writers may I add create a very moving and heartwarming episode. What a beautiful mind they have. Challenges in life that we have --face it head om. Yang Zi/ Mai Chenghuan and Yao Zhiming/ Xu Kai added flavours to this series. The father, Chengzao and even Mao gives substance to the storyline. Thank you so much for sharing. What a castor performers this series has.

The root of creating this type of loving family I think, Mr. And Mrs. Mai. They love not only for their kids also the zhiming, mao and zhiming's Guardian sister. Their love make me happy. They give hopes for others to live. And also the chenghuan caring about her family and her friends and subordinates is amazing. This is the drama which is full with love. Zhiming and mao very lucky to have this type of family. I think the grandma play a major role in this case. She actually gives a good family for zhiming. Previously I was not agree with the grandma about the way of sharing her properties. Because I thout she made a trouble between hero and heroin. But now I hundred percent agree with grandma.

Her mom since ep1 has always been selfish. And shes doing the same things now. She thinks so little of her husband and again expects them to take care of him. Her husband was correct.. however he should have been this strong from the beginning. Yes shes ill but to take her family through this ...shes unbearable.. amazing how shes still manipulative because she has always been but this is too much. Not even realizing shes being that way. Good actress tho...enjoy this series.

I can't fully agree with you. Her mom is not selfish one. It prove over the episodes. But in this episode she make us angry. But we also need to understand the mom' s mind like chenghan, chengzan and zheming. She need love, caring and attention from her family.

Это на нее плохо подействовало. 😢 Тяжело больные люди очень чувствительны. Она решила встретить неизбежное в одиночестве, чтобы не быть никому обузой (как она думает). Мой покойный муж как-то сказал, что если он когда-нибудь заболеет раком, то не захочет мучить близких и себя, предпочтет броситься в море.😢 Я это запомнила. И когда он через несколько лет действительно заболел раком (мы узнали на последней стадии), мне пришлось скрывать это от него, я вместе с врачами придумывала разные вещи, чтобы уберечь его от самоубийства. Я боролась с его болезнью как могла. По крайней мере у него не было жутких болей, как у других, ему не пришлось использовать морфин. Но все-таки он умер через 3 года.😢

This is the first time i see mr mai rising her voice on her wife he is truly hurted 😢 and i have never seen mr mai smoking 😢 it's all coz of her wife's condition he is troubled and am so happy now with this mai family this is how family should be comforting each other in every situation i wish God to give me amn like zhiming who can stand for me and my family ❤

Yeah. I think you are right. This thing mostly happened to the women. Because they dedicate their happiness for family members within her entire life. Therefore we need to pay more attention to care about elderly parents. This is not rare in asian countries.

Erratic behaviour of this mom at this time is the best way to stretch more episodes just like a chewing gum. Giving my head a through spin. Even with the good looks of the actors, weak story holds me back to watch it again.

It's a very good drama. All of them did a great job. I think we need these kind of dramas a lot to undrestand the value of our family.

Please know, if you have never been told you have cancer, you cannot understand how you are in such a state of shock. It's hard to even think straight. I had it happen to me so I know. And go back and review please. There was that couple in the side street fighting over who had to take care of their Dad. And they obviously thought he was a burden so she unselfishly wanted to take that burden off her whole family. To be alone at such a time is so hard. This reaction was her way of continuing to care for her family and the actress did a beautiful job of conveying the distress. She is a wonderful person and needs commendation for her acting skill.
