why does it have to always happen when's it's almost the end..

If we look past all the cuteness, the blushing, the heart fluttering, and stomach-churning butterflies, it's really clear how Ongsa's internalized homophobia and learned helplessness is causing a lot of damage to Sun's healthy emotional upbringing, which is ironically, beneficial for both of them in the long run. Sun learns to apply and overcome difficult emotional obstacles, and Ongsa learns self-acceptance. A win-win.

Honestly most of what sun said to ongsa was totally valid, however i don't like that the series doesn't even understand how bad outing is. Without the outing part i woul've been 100% on sun's side and it's such a shame that no one is realising that sun's actions were infact terrible at that time. I need both character to reflect on themselves, not just ongsa ☹️

Sun didn’t even really apologize for outing Ongsa. She even looked annoyed when Ongsa said that she was scared that her parents wouldn’t accept her. Sun has the right to be upset, what she feels is valid. I will keep on saying that it doesn’t mean that she gets to out Ongsa even Aylin and Luna! That’s on her when, where, and how! If Sun didn’t like that, she could of simply talked to her in private…but no she had to out Ongsa to her parents. Just because Sun has a good relationship with her parents, and they were accepting, doesn’t mean Ongsa’s will. It’s not an irrational fear Ongsa has, it’s valid! It happens to teens that are LGBTQIA+. They can get kicked out, disowned, or even k!ll€d. I get Sun is a teenager so she’s impulsive too and that caused her to do this. Or even if Sun didn’t like it, she could’ve talked to Ongsa and then broken up with her WITHOUT OUTING. Sun shouldn’t be forced back into the closet, so she could of simply broken up with Ongsa before all this happen. Sun has been understanding and people can only take so much, but people also have boundaries. Ongsa had that boundary, and Sun crossed it. Sun has the right to say what she feels, even though it seemed like she was guilt tripping Ongsa. It’s already bad enough that she already feels like 💩, we don’t need her feeling more. Ongsa even said that she didn’t want people to talk bad about Sun for being with her…which is valid. She’s still struggles with self esteem, and caring about what other people thing which is what teens go through. I even struggle with that at times and I’m already 22 💀. I know that’s something I need to work on and Ongsa does too but it’s a process. Sun you lost me 😭 Ongsa defender all the way‼️

100% agree with you here. Outing someone like that and showing no regret at all. I do hope that the series will handle that somehow but I have very little hope. Really disappointing. Edit: So, I watched the last part and I'm glad to see that sun apologised for.. well, something. I wish it had been explicitly about the actually dangerous act of outing someone rathe than that wishy-washy "sorry for trying to change you" thing they did, but overall I'm happy we got at least that.

honestly i feel like this shouldn't be a matter of which sides we should take bc i dont think ongsa isn't really completely innocent herself in this either. bc as much as you dont wanna admit, sun was partially right here in her explanation tbh. ongsa's lack of communication and her low self esteem are her major character flaws and they are what led them into this situation aside from sun's ignorance. sun outing ongsa ofc wasnt ok either and ppl are allowed to be mad at her for that, but at the same time i get her frustrations too especially in the first scene. i also never really got the sense that she was trying to "guilt trip" ongsa either tbh she was merely frustrated in that moment and needed to let it out. outing someone in real life can have major life threatening consequences and im in no way condoning that for anyone, and ongsa would've been a true victim in this case if she was immediately thrown out or disowned the moment she was outed in ep 10, but she wasn't. plus it seemed like her parents were just trying to find out what was happening and talk abt it so that kinda makes me believe that ongsa just needs to sort things out with her parents and then we can get their stance from there. you can get mad at the outing part specifically for luna and aylin tho, that's somewhat understandable bc i dont really understand the writers' decisions on their part for that either, but i still dont really think it's fair to just immediately dumb sun down into a villain in the story either for the one very bad ignorant mistake she has made in the entire show without at least trying to understand from her pov. you can do that while also not condoning what she did, bc trying to understand a character does not mean that you're justifying their actions. i believe that no one is truly perfect in this drama. it's clear that sun and ongsa both have a lot of growing up to do in this situation and im still gonna root for both them and hope that they fix this in the end 🤷🏻‍♀

It annoys me how Sun literally OUTED Ongsa (AND Ailyn too!) to her parents and still thought she was a victim in that situation. It's great if she doesn't care what others think, but Ongsa does, especially if it's her PARENTS. Sun should've tried to understand first WHY Ongsa doesn't want to disclose that they're in a relationship, but mostly she should've just respected it. You don't get to just out someone and then brush it off as not caring what ppl think and wanting your relationship to be out in the open.

I will be a really tough episode. I can understand both sides. Especially Ongsa since I feel like she resembles me a lot. She has a really low self esteem, she's socially awkward, anxious, has internalized homophobia, worries what people will say or think and a lot of more insecurities. I really understand her struggles, cause I also struggle with these things. It must have been really hard for her. But I also understand Sun's point of view. She's the type of person who constantly gives a lot to people she cares about and sacrifices a lot. But at some point it's frustrating, because you feel like you're the only one who tries and makes an effort to make a relationship work. Ongsa feels like she's doing all of this for her but she never asked her how she feels about this. They both need to learn to talk about their feelings straightfowordly. Ongsa needs to stop thinking like she knows what's best for Sun, learn to ask what's her opinion on things and work on her insecurities. And Sun needs to be more understanding and patient with Ongsa. It's really challenging to be in a relationship with someone who has so many insecurities. She knew from the start what kind of person is Ongsa and how much she struggles. Even though I get her point of view I think breaking up with her was too harsh. Nevertheless I still hope it would be a wake up call for her to fight for Sun.

The curse of ep 11 strickes us again

Aylin and Luna made me smile for a second after crying because of Sun and Ongsa😭They are so cute and I'm glad Aylin is slowly trying to give humans a second chance ☺

My first girlfriend and I were long distance so when I visited her for the first time it was a disaster. Her mother didn’t approve of our relationship and actually kicked us out of her home. So for the rest of my visit we stayed in a hotel. That reaction terrified me so I never told my parents I was dating a girl. My girlfriend understood that so when she visited me we were just “friends”. Needless to say it bothers me that Sun didn’t considered Ongsa might’ve been afraid. There are still people out there that won’t approve of queer relationships and it’s more than okay to not tell your family. Anyway even tho I was mad at Sun I thought the acting during the break up scene was well done.

The teachers, their friends, the students. No one gives a fuck. And so i dont think its weird for sun to assume that ongsas parents wouldnt care. Last weeks episode made me upset with ongsa because their enviornment is filled with gay people and allys. So when ongsas parents didnt care. I was upset because ongsa was still denying it. Literally there is support all over Sun and Ongsa. I dont blame sun for not thinking because literally nobody gaf. The students, teachers, parents, friends. No one cares in this show. If the show had a different set of characters where some were not accepting of them, i wouldve understood more. The problem is the writing and pacing. It made me mad at Ongsa because she had no reason to keep denying even after seeing her parents support. But i realistically understand Ongsa and Sun. I am closeted myself. So font act like im slow.

@@iaccidentallygavenarutolig1281 ongsa literally stated in the beginning of the episodes that she wasn't sure people would accept them, and other characters talked about this as well. lgbtq is taboo in this show. just because the **GAY PEOPLE IN THE SHOW** aren't homophobic, doesn't mean there isn't homophobia into their world. ongsa's fears are very VERY reflective of reality, disownment and hate crime are a reality in her world.

The way I can see both points of views and hurt for both of them 😢 But I specially see their age, the way things are taken out of proportion when you're a teenager because it's difficult to find an answer to everything you're feeling. One thing I agree with Sun about though is Ongsa's tendencies to take preventive measures all by herself without consulting her because she's just imagining the worst possible outcome for anything. Ongsa isn't only shy, she's extremely pessimistic and she feels like she's a burden. It's something very hard to work on and I get it, but it's essential to have a healthy relationship

i do applaud sun for her understanding ongsa during the times she mentioned, BUT that's literally not an excuse to out someone. some kids are getting abused, kicked out, bullied, because they're gay. you cannot just disclose someone's sexuality because of that, if you're parents were okay that you're gay, good for you but not everyone has the same kind of parents. she could've ask first why ongsa doesn't want her parents to know they're more than friends before she says that, like my girl, you can do better than this.

I do very much understand part of Sun's POV, but she says she's upset that Ongsa worries for her and never talks to her, and then at the same time outs her in front of her parents when she could clearly tell that Ongsa was in distress. She has the right to be upset, but she should have taken her aside and asked her about the friend comment instead. It'll be interesting to see how they fix their relationship!

I felt really felt the despair from both Sun and Ongsa in this episode. Props to Milk and Love really. Please give them more projects together :)

The dialogue in this episode is just out of the world. The discussion in the park, as if it put words to the many dilemmas we go through everyday. Regardless of the situations it answers many questions.

It's so difficult to say who're right and who're wrong. I find them both quite selfish in their own ways. Sun wanted things to happen her way, so she basically ignored how Ongsa might feel. And to be honest, before meeting Ongsa we only saw Sun always smiling, happy, positive, and she has a very supportive family so she probably felt that love should not hurt so much like this, hence. prompted the break up. But Ongsa also always acted her way, despite of how many times Sun had told her differently, it felt like she did not truly believe Sun could ever like her wholeheartedly. But I love how messy their love is honestly, because it feels very teenager-like. It's intense and full of emotions. It feels real.

They are so good at acting I'm literally crying so much😢

This is such a well-written and realistic conflict, because I feel both of their pain and understand where both sides are coming from. When it comes to two good people who love each other, conflict is often like this, with no person being in the wrong but both people having something valid about what hurts them, which makes their pain in this episode feel so palpable and realistic!!!! Sun pouring out her feelings to Ongsa is heartbreaking. 💔 It really shows how people are willing to do what they can for the person they fall inlove with and being introduced as just a friend carried more weight to their heart. But I am glad how the series was able to portray it because a lot of us can learn from it. There is more to falling inlove than being cute and giddy. It is actually a start of deeply trying to understand the other person and communication is the way to do it. I know Ongsa has her reasons and Sun isn't aware of it yet. They are still at the early earlt stage of their relationship and they are still learning how to handle it.
