Why can’t Koreans appreciate Seowon more? She’s super talented at her age. She is better than 90% of the idols right now.

Many may feel a bit jealous of her since Korea is a highly competitive society and sometimes people feel down when they see someone with a lot of talents. Many ppl there have a difficult time stanning for someone younger than them (since age is an important part of their lives). It takes time... which is not too bad for Seowon as it might benefit her not to think too highly of herself. 🙂 I just hope not too many mean and untrue internet comments are thrown at her. So far she has been winning the hearts of many.

She does sound one dimensional especially her high notes but what do we expect shes like 13 and shes used to singing trot songs. Give her 3-5 years and shes gonna sound even better. Shes extremely talented for a young girl her age. Very pretty too.

I think maybe he/she meant there's no texture in her voice, like vibrato/head voice when she sang the high note, it sounded nasal/like screaming. Seowon definitely has a natural good voice, it just that she haven't achieved the full & rounded voice, and that has to do with her breathing technique. And if you listen to her lower pitch voice, she's able to add the vibrato because she used her chest voice. In fact, singer that wasn't born with a natural good voice suddenly can sound good & had a well-supported voice bcs they trained their breathing technique. As for Seowon, she just need to train a little bit to make her voice sound richer & fuller, she's still young, so there's room for improvement.

She actually doesn't use a lot of techniques and uses her pure voices but when it comes to versatility, she has shown that she can do trot, musical, and girl group style songs which all have different emphasis. Not deeply into making technical voices, she just do that all with her own voice and still gets the job done very well. Voice, visuals, dancing skills and stage presence. This girl made sure she's not lacking in any.

The privilege from her youth, of having lots of years to improve while already being exposed in the Kpop Industy will definitely make her one of the versatile and talented idols someday. I'm a Filipino who's passionately supporting my co Filipinos, Hyeon Ju, Elisia and Gehlee, things might got patchy during their survival shows and leave us a bit of negative impression to Seowon, but please remember she's still literally a child, and must be guided not bashed. I truly believe she will grow as a stunning, and fine lady someday and accept it or not, but we can't deny Seowon is truly a gem in UNIS. She's definitely contributing to Unis' growing fame for being a well-known trot singer in Korea, and talented-matured young lady.

Yesss!! I've also been seeing mixed hate reviews bcs of some of her immature reactions during the show (which weren't even bad smh). We gotta remember she's literally a girl BELOW 15 yrs old. But she's in the group regardless bcs of her large talent and exceptional skills! Furthermore, she'll continue to grow as a person and as an idol, along with the rest of UNIS. We can already see that she's mature and very well-spoken here. As some of them are literal children, we shouldn't be harsh with our comments and be kind with our words. We should support the group as a whole, especially since its a new group just starting out! As their fan base, let's be supportive so we can make it easier for them to navigate the industry better!

I don't even understand the hate, seowoon has different style than Eli and they didn't even perform a lot in the same group, Seowoon even looked up to Eli and learned from her. wanting more lines is natural for everyone and they both had their moments of taking lines from the other. Which are all decided by producers. Childish fans are just plain stupid always looking for drama instead of supporting the group.

Unis is very talented girl group. Their vocal line is no joke. They can sing any genre. Unis will dominate despite having a rookie company you'll see.

Her voice easily gives her away. Even if this video didn't tell who the singer is, just listening to it spells Seowon all the way. Her singing technique doesn't change no matter what song she sings.

Seowon and Elisia are the main vocalists of Unis. But Seowon has a potential to be a powerhouse vocal because hers is deeper tone while Elisia is on lighter tone so they complement each other.

At age 13, she's still raw to be honest because she came from singing trot to becoming an idol singer. But it doesn't mean to be bad. In fact, she's bound to be a solo main vocalist in her next debut after her stint in Unis probably at age 15 or 16. And I assume in 6th gen, she would be considered as one of the best vocalist of that generation. I like the smoothness of her voice to be freaking honest.
