As a Malaysian myself, I 100% agree with all the points mentioned in the video. They are not really a "disadvantage" hahaha but they are just how Malaysia works...cultural difference in a way. Malaysians prefer to drive, hate walking under the sun, and like all things short-cut.

mostly for weekend we like to spend time with family or balik kampung... at nite after work for Muslim we like to stay home because priority for nite prayer... we do appreciate art and music, but that come as 2nd & 3rd place after prayer and family

hahaha my wife and I are Korean and we live in KL ! I agree with you about most of them ~~ but as you said, we're very happy to stay here, too :) Love you, Malaysia~~~~

People rarely walk around the street here because malaysia is hot 😂 and i agree about the last one, its so hard to find one art exhibition relate to malaysia culture because i think malaysian appreciation toward art is low so yea :/ if theres any art exhibit their target audience is only for the rich

@@Begaemi there are a number of good art galleries in kl - national art gallery, wei ling gallery,...just google. I do recommend Islamic Art Museum because there are really good displays there. There will be an art exhibition 'go block' in kl soon. That should be a good one too. Kl Philharmonic Orchestra used to play at KLCC before covid. Hopefully, you will be able to enjoy their show when things get back to normal.

Tbh, except from no. 3 and 5,even as a malaysian, i really relates to your disadvantages. And to stroll around a park at night and esp by yourself is a safety concern too. Do take care both of you. Thanks for posting this content.

Usually when i order something from shopee i put some notes to just leave the parcel at the door something like that. But even if i did not put any notes they will still just leave the parcels at my door and update me on whatsapp with a photo of the parcel at my door. If i happen to answer their calls when they are delivering, i will just tell them to leave the parcel at my door as well. My suggestion for you is to put some sign at your house door telling the delivery man to just leave the parcel on the shoe rack or sumn. A lot of people do it like that 😬

You guys should go to Istana Budaya (our national art theatre). There are many local cultural content there. It might be halted due to Covid-19 though

네 ꈨຶ ˙̫̮ ꈨຶ 요즘 그나마 트래킹 스팟들이나 공원들을 다니고 있긴 한데 동네에 가볍게 아무때나 나가서 돌아다닐 수 있는 곳이 없다는 건 여전히 아쉬운 일이에요.

I would have to agree with your points... Art is considered a luxury to many of us. For music, I can recommend M Nasir, Siti Nurhaliza and Sheila Majid, but they are more serious, old school. A bit hard to find English translations to their songs.

For culture learning part, usually tourist/foreigner can join homestay program usually held at village (u can feel and learn how to they conduct lifestyle etc) , and cultural exhibition/show are easily available, but due to pandemic, such program are canceled. Once travel are allow (and u are in Malaysia at that time), if you want to learn Malaysia traditional culture, l suggest you to go Malaysia states such as Kelantan, Sabah, and Sarawak..

네 때로는 느림이 답답하게 느껴질 때도 있지만 대체로는 저도 여유를 느끼며 생활하고 있는 것 같아요! FMCO라 어려운 시기인데 모조쪽 건강 챙기며 잘 지내시길 바랄게요 :)

@@Begaemi 제가 가본곳은 Alexis 암팡점과 부킷빈탕에 있는No black tie였어요. 매주 마다 뮤지션들이 원하는 느낌의 공연을 골라가서 볼수있어요. Alexis는 레스토랑 앞에 무대 설치해놓고 밴드와 싱어가 어우러지며 퍼포먼스하고요, 노블랙타이는 뮤지션마다 공연비가 다르고, 들어가면 미니 소극장느낌이 나요. 개인적으로 술+밥+음악이라면 알렉시스, 정말 음악을 퀄리티있게 듣고싶다 하면 노블랙타이요! 저는 이제 베게님의 다른 영상 보러 총총총

We dont walk in hot weather..we drive with full aircond blast..i personally watch kdrama almost everyday than malaysian drama..not to condemn but kdrama has variety of genre to watch..malaysian drama mostly too cliche..since MCO, delivery service faced a lot trouble getting parcel on time

It's true, but depending on the genre, there is few good Malaysian movies too. But if you enjoy all time favourite, check out the Late Tan Sri P. Ramlee's movies (year active 1945-1975). He is the legend in Malaysia's entertainment industry. He is all rounder; an actor, singer, songwriter, composer, musician, producer, film director and other talents. Composed around 401 songs and involved in 66 films.

Fair enough😂 I agree with point 1, 2, 4 and 5. -1:37 Sorry that you lost your things just after a few minutes, but next time, try to ask the staffs for your belonging. Maybe they tried to keep it for you and wait for you to come back to retrieve it. That happens a lot too -Honestly, nowadays, our animation industry is much more developed than the filming industry😂 Malaysia is much more known for animation especially to neighbouring countries, for series like upin ipin, ejen ali etc

I think because South Korea has the '빨리빨리' culture. While in Malaysia, we have 'Last Minute' & 'On the Way (OTW)' cultures. So thats why we are a bit slower than South Korea in services.

Regarding the musician held a concert in Malaysia is due to restrictions imposed on the artist in order to perform in Malaysia is rather strict. Most foreign artist dismiss the idea due to that restrictions. I think Malaysia is more known for their multi culture ethnicity rather than entertainment. Music wise, the good one was forgotten....the popular one not necessarily good they're just marketable.

On the first issue, statistics will show that it is related to the influx of migrant workers to Malaysia since 1980s. Today Malaysia has over 7 million foreign workers. That number is equivalent to 22 percent of the country's population and 50 percent of the country's workforce, most of them unfortunately undocumented and illegal.

to experience the real malay culture,,,i suggest for u to stay 3 or 2 days in Kampung with malay family,,,over there u can learn my culture n environment,,,of course no alcohol😅,,,

Our climate is quite hot for most of us. We prefer to go by car then on foot or walking. Our country is a Muslim country so don't have much entertainment as you mentioned. But we have buskers or street entertainment .furthermore we prefer to stay in the house after work

U can go to islamic art museum, national museum, art and craft museum, textile museum and there are few more that can be search through tourism malaysia. All in kl. National museum u can take mrt and from there u can walk to islamic art and textile museum near dataran merdeka.

외국에 오래살면서 느낀점 1. 시간이 갈수록 한국가기가 무서워진다 물가가 후덜덜 2.쇼핑몰지나 다른 쇼핑몰 할게없고 지루하다 3.현지외식비가 싸다고한들 결국 한식먹으러간다 4.지하철 또는 보도 이용등 사람은 걸어야되는데 그런 여건이 않되다보니 살이찐다 5.한국보다 문화수준이 비슷하거나 위면 그 나라에동화되어 살아가는데 낮으면 결국 집에서 한국방송보고 뉴스보게되어있음 결국 외국인으로 살아감

About the content. How about you guys learn Malay Language and watch TV. Many Malaysia's 'content' are in Malay language. Also, obviously, if you want to know the culture, it will be easier if you know the related language.

As a Muslim family our activities are being guided by our religion. We don't hang around for nothing at night or during weekend. We prefer to stay at home, be with our family members or visiting our old parents or relatives . Besides that we go camping or other activities that is related to our religion or else we are just resting in the house. We always have family gathering, makan makan or vacation out side Kuala Lumpur. People with lots money they travels to Europe, Japan or asean countries like Vietnam, Indonesia or Thailand. Or we go window shopping...

There are few Malaysian singers who sing Korean songs. Try listening to Aini Abdul and Shila Amzah

Sorry I am not too good in english. For entertainment, yes we agree Malaysian movie is quite little compare to other southeast Asian like Thailand, Indonesia but we still have a few you can watch to know a frame of our culture Mat Kilau (2022) Munafik Redha Magika (2010) Lagenda budak setan (2010) Jagat (2015) Sepet (2005) Crossroads :One two jaga (2018) The journey (2014) Ola bola ( 2016) Bukit kepong (1981) Puteri gunung ledang (2004) Drama Melayu Nur Kasih Nur (2018) Cartoon movie Ejen Ali the movie Upin Ipin Even we live in diverse culture but difference races have a different story so it quite rare to find other races in one story. If you have time you can watch those.

i agree with all points. my house been robbed once too before, lost few laptops and wallets. reported it but i already know robbers wont get caught and i wont get my stuff back. KL should be the easiest place in malaysia to see art exhibition and concerts. your best bet would be klcc philharmonic and istana budaya for theaters and music performances. i dont really watch malaysian movie much except horror genre. 🤷‍♂️

So sorry you guys have to experience the 1st point here in Malaysia. For the 2nd point, I think the reason why they don't put your parcel outside your house when you're not around is because of the 1st point HAHAHAH. Jokes aside, shipping service experience for people from East Malaysia are on another level. You need a realllllly thick patience because it'll take twice times for the parcel to arrive in East Malaysia compared to West Malaysia. Being east Malaysian, I am always pissed off with the delivery service. But I need to let it go, I don't want the pissed-off-ness consume me. Tiber hahah. For the culture content, I agree with you guys. Despite of being a multicultural country, it seems that we didn't maximize the effort to bring our diverse culture into spotlight. Moreover, when this pandemic hit, most of cultural sites were closed. All of the yearly cultural festival that usually being celebrated merrily were forced to be held online. Sobs. So, next year, if the interstate travel restriction and MCO lifted, I'd like to suggest to you guys to travel to Sabah especially towards the end of May to experience the biggest cultural festival (for Kadazan, Dusun and Murut ethnic) in Sabah. It is called Kaamatan festival. Side notes: Malaysia population composed of ~69% Bumiputra (Malay, and >30 ethnics in Sabah Sarawak states/East Malaysia), ~22% Malaysian Chinese, ~7% Malaysian Indian. Oops pardon my superlong comment. I thought I am writing thesis. Lol >_

네번째가 치명적이네요... 공원이 거의 없고, 자전거 타기 힘들다는게... 호주는 공원이 너무 많고, 자전거 타기도 매우 좋았는데,,,

난 3년 반을 말레이에서 살았는데, 단점은 치안, 너무느림(택배, 특히 관공서, 입국 심사 등등), 걷기나 자전거이용 할 수 있는 공원부재, 음식, 대중 교통 정도 그런데 그랩등은 편함

I would suggest watching a few Malaysian youtubers such as Jinnyboytv, Soimjenn, to understand Malaysian culture

영어빼면 우리나라 좋은나라임을 다시금 느낍니다 그래도 감사 를 모르는 사람들이 많지요 부탄이 행복지 수가 가장 높다는 말이 이해는 않되지만ᆢ 예전 배고프게 살았어 도ᆢ주변에 흔한 푸성귀나 나물먹었지 만 또 한끼를 해결해서 기뻤던게ᆢ그게 행복 아닐까 생각해봅니다

음 집마다 좀 다른 거 같긴 한데 저희집은 다행히도 바퀴벌레는 없고 개미만 좀 있는 편이에요. 개미는 보일때마다 마트에 파는 약 사서 놓고 있는데 완벽하게 박멸되진 않아도 그럭저럭 사라지는 것 같아서 그렇게 관리하고 있습니다.

술은 한국에서 인터넷 주문하면 비용이 많이 비싼가요?

말레이시아가 치안이 안좋다는거 처음 알았어요 몇년전에 쿠알라룸푸르 방문했을 때 호스텔에서 외국인 친구들도 여러명 사귀어서 해가 진 밤에도 밖에 나가서 쇼핑했던적도 있었고 귀에 이어폰 꽂고 싸돌아다녀도 소매치기를 시도한 사람도 없어서 그런지 의외였습니다. (물론 태국과 캄보디아, 베트남 여행때도 소매치기는 한 번도 안당해봤습니다.) 지상철을 탔을적에도 말레이인이 부족한 동전까지 대신 채워줘서 그런지 말레이인은 일본인보다 더 친절하다는 강한 인상을 받아서.. (도쿄 여행갔을 때 친절한 일본인은 별로없었..) 아무튼 이민이랑 여행은 다르다보니 서로 경험한것이 다를 수 밖에 없겠군요. 저도 해외이민 생각중이라 보게되었는데 유익해서 좋았습니다 ㅎㅎ

제가 장점 영상에서는 ‘말레이시아 사람들의 친절함’에 대한 얘기를 했을만큼 저도 말레이시아 사람들이 대체로 친절하다는 것에는 공감합니다 :) 다만 살아보니 치안은 좀 다른 문제인 것 같더라고요. 저 뿐만 아니라 좀 오래 계신 분들은 대부분 치안과 관련된 이슈를 경험해보신 것 같았어요. 그리고 무엇보다 여기에서는 무슨 일이 일어나면 경찰서 단위에서도 해결이 어렵다는 것이 가장 큰 문제가 아닐까 싶어요. ㅠㅠ 경찰들이 해결 의지가 거의 없어요.. ㅎㅎ

@@Begaemi 그렇군요 저는 여행하기전에 유튜브에서 말레이시아 태형 으로 처벌받는영상 봐가지고 말레이&싱가폴이 이렇게 처벌이 강한데 설마 치안이 개판이겠어싶은 마음도 있었는데 처벌이 엄하다고 치안이 좋은건 아닌거 같네요(하긴 미국보면 답나오죠..) 반면에 한국에서도 마약밀매부터 살인사건, 음주운전으로 사망사고나는거 보면 한국은 그냥 치안이 좋을뿐 범죄율이 0%대인건 아니라는거죠 ㅠㅠㅠㅠ 치안이 좋다는 북유럽인 노르웨이에서도 어떤 정신나간 사람이 총기난사해서 77명을 순식간에 죽인 무시무시한 사건도 일어난적이 있었는데... 반면에 멕시코, 브라질, 남아공, 필리핀 같이 치안이 안좋은 나라에서도 안전하게 잘사시는 해외교민도 계시니 사람일은 알 수 없는거 같아요 ㅎㅎ

치명적인 단점이 치안과 부패한 경찰/정부…그리고 말레이가 아닌 인종으로 말레이시아에 사는한 차별이 존재한 곳이라…아마 이런 얘기는 말레이시안 차이니즈랑 친해지면 한 시간은 가볍게 썰 풀어줄껍니다 ㅎㅎ 안전한 곳에 거주하셔야해요

if you in malaysia, please do not drink(intoxicating drinks). there are lot of other choices, one is teh tarik :) the foam is so smooth.. :)

동남아 여러곳을 가보았는데 베트남 특히 말레이시아 에서 소매치기 당해서 현금 도둑맞고 여행용가방을 잠시 나두었는데 공항에서 도둑맞고 얼마나 황당하던지~ 좋은점도 있겠지만 좋지 않은 기억으로 ~

저는 말레이시아에서 지내면서 열쇠 꼽아놓고 집에 들어간게 엄청 잦았는데 전혀 아무일도 안 일어났는데 주위사람들이 술은 안먹어서 대개 안전하다 생각했는데 ㅎ ㅎ

한국에선 택배 인터넷 추적도 되죠

소매치기 당해서 턱 끌려가신 분도 있다고 들었어요.. 물론 대다수에 해당하는 얘기는 아니지만 한국만큼 안전한 나라는 없음

벌레 곤충 문제 좀 알려주세요ㅜㅜ 다른 채널들보다 현실적인 이야기 잘해주셔서, 말씀 좀 여쭙고 싶오요

ㅎㅎ 음... 집마다 다를 거 같긴 한데 저희 집엔 바퀴벌레를 포함한 다른 곤충은 없고 개미만 있어요. 근데 이것도 마트에서 약 사다가 놓으면 없어져서 딱히 불편함은 느끼지 못합니다. 그리고 도마뱀은 저희도 그렇고 주변 다른 분들 얘기 들어봐도 동남아에서는 피할 수 없는 존재인 거 같아요 저희는 치타를 키워서 간혹 도마뱀이 두 토막 난 채로 발견...ㅎ 집이 고층인데도 어떻게 오는지 모르게 올라오더라구요. 근데 듣기로는 도마뱀이 있으면 다른 벌레들이 없을 가능성이 높고 (도마뱀이 잡아 먹어서) 도마뱀은 원래 사람을 무서워해서 알아서 잘 피해다닌다고 하더라구요 ㅎㅎ 저희는 고양이를 키우는 바람에...

20년전에 첫 해외여행지가 쿠알라룸프르 였는데, 그땐 느끼기에 그냥 치안은 괜찮고, 교통도 괜찮다고 생각되었어요. 그리고 밤새서 여러 클럽을 돌아다니며 놀았는데, 다만, 그때 KLCC에서 택시 탔는데 메타기를 기존 승객껄 꺽지 않고 그냥 이어서 가더군요.. 그것 때문에 기사랑 싸우고 했는데, 경찰들도 도와주지 않더군요. 시내 산쪽에 있는 관광지를 가서 돌아오는 택시가 없어서 8차선인가 6차선 고속도로를 횡단해서 산을 타고 시내로 내려온 경험이 ㅎㅎ 암튼 또 한번 가보고 싶은 곳이긴 해요^^

관공서나 입국심사등이 넘 느리다. 많이 기달려도 I don't care !!!

환불이 안된다는거ㅠㅠ 건조망고 온라인으로 샀는데 너무 맛없음. 개봉되지 않은 망고 환불 요구했지만 안된다고함. 단순변심도 배송비 주면 반품되는 대한민국

결론 저는 말레이지아는 않갈렵니다.. 한국이 훨씬 좋습니다..친구도 음식도 날씨도... 사계절이 있는,,,

택배는 잊고 지내다보면 도착하죠 ㅋ

ㅎㅎ 네 맞아요 저희도 요즘엔 그냥 잊고 지내고 있습니다.

그래도 지금은 횡단보도가 있긴 있자나요 ㅎㅎ.. 예전에는 진짜 차도만 있어서 ㅜㅜ

한국도 도둑 많아요.. 당해봣냐 안당해봣냐 기준이라면 좀..

한국에 살아도 도둑들고 잡을라고도 안해요. 좀도둑 정의내리고 끝입니다

물가는 그 나라의 일반서민의 한달봉급을 기준으로 이야기를 해야 정상이지 않나요? 동남아에서 한국과 비교하는 자체가 웃기지요^^. 서민봉급이 말레이시아가 그리 높지 않을텐데요. 물론 다른 동남아국가에 비해 부유한편이라 높긴하지만 한국과는 월급자체가 비교할꺼도 안되요 ㅜㅜ 한국사람이 살기엔 동남아 나라는 모두 불편하다고 보면 됩니다. 벌레(바퀴벌레)와 쥐, 도마뱀과는 그냥 함께 거주한다고 보심됩니다. 월세가 높은 콘도에 살아도 도마뱀과 바퀴벌레는 여기저기 지나다녀요. 호텔에도 있던걸요. 그리고 길거리 음식 함부러 먹지마시라는거...저 지인이 길거리음식 먹고 장염걸림. 흔하다보니 보상받을려고 찾아갔다 미친놈 취급받음.병원은 대기하다 화가나서 그냥호텔로옴.1년내내 더운 나라다보니 흔함. 2세가 태어나면 시스템자체에 문제가 많다는거 느껴 질겁니다. 미쳐버림. 그냥 모든거 참고 살아갈 수 있다고 긍정적인 마인드면 살아가는데 나름 괜찮지 않을까 생각합니다. 성격급한 한국인이 불평불만 가지면 모든게 힘들어서 못살거든요. 이민은 어느정도 가진자들이 가는게 좋다생각 합니다. 없는 분들이 가면 더 고생합니다. 물가싸다고 갔다가 적응못하고 탕진하는 이민자 넘쳐나요 ㅜㅜ. 대부분 사업한 번 해볼까하다가 사기당하는 경우가 대부분.
