I remember when I hated one of my sister's sweatshirts and I often hid it so she wouldn't wear it. My hatred for it eventually died and when it didn't fit her anymore she handed it down to me and I still wear it to this day lol

I also feel the same as him. Birthday is not something that very special to me anymore. When I was a little kid, I even countdown my birthday, but now I face it like another day, even when someone says happy birthday to me I say thank you but do not feel as happy as I used to before. Even when someone celebrates my birthday, I do feel thankful, but also feel awkward because people look more excited than me. So I don't think he felt annoyed.

Happy early birthday in advance! Even if others don't remember, you are still worth treating yourself on your day. I usually get something I would never normally get bc I deserve it! Since I lost the one who loved me most, I no longer get those birthday wishes. But I know that if mom was around she'd want me happy so I treat myself and love myself!
