I so agree, these stings, whether it's drugs or prostitution, seem so ludicrous, the resources and money they put into these is ridiculous, they spend thouands and thousands of dollars, the guy will go to court, get a small fine or a warning, defies logic to me

It's called being proactive, these are the people who have stolen bikes previously and would steal bikes in the future - by setting up a sting, they get thieves at least with a grand larceny charge to try and discourage future theft.. it's a good technique

Brainwashed cop. The 7.62 X 39 round will NOT go through "several walls and buildings if fired correctly". It MIGHT make it through one wall, or a building if it only goes through windows. He likely has no experience or knowledge outside of what he was trained and told to say.
