Great video sorry Ron was broken and I agree statue does not look like the box portray it to , Sirius looks awesome and I would have fix him too great addition to your Harry Potter collection.

Your son is adorable, and so well mannered too. I'm sorry your statues arrived broken. One is bad enough, but two is absolutely heartbreaking. I don't know where you bought yours from, but I've personally had really bad luck purchasing the statues from Amazon. I've only purchased two Enesco Figurines from them (Lupin and Sirius) and both were broken. I'm afraid to buy any more from them. I have Ron arriving tomorrow from Zulily. I hope mine has at least slightly red hair, and of course I hope it arrives in better condition than the one you received. If not I think I'm done purchasing these particular Enesco statues. They must be more fragile than they look. I did manage to get a good one of Dumbledore recently though. He arrived in great shape and he's awesome! I'm really hoping that Iron Studios will eventually put Snape on sale. I haven't seen a review of it yet, but it looks amazing in the photographs.

I've purchased all of my Enesco statues from Amazon. Until this unboxing, my experience has been pretty good. Honestly, based on feedback I've gotten from other collectors, it's a complete crap-shoot. Ceircin is amazing and I love seeing him get more and more comfortable each time we do a video. I received the Ron statue from Zulily today. It came in perfect shape and the hair is much better, so I'm very grateful for that. I've only purchased two figurines from them so far, but they both arrived in great condition. I'm so happy you recommended Zulily in one of your previous videos. If I hadn't just spent so much money on Ron and on The Burrow from Department 56, I'd go back to Zulily for the Sirius one for sure. I'm amazed at how well your son does on video, especially given how young he is. You better watch out though, as he's probably going to end up wanting his own KZread channel some day. Both of my sons begged me to let them have their own channels when they were younger. They were much older than your son is when they started, but they used to do Let's Play videos with their friends, focusing mainly on Minecraft. I kept a close eye on them though, as the internet is not always a kind place. They are in their twenties now and would much rather spend their time playing games online with friends than messing around with recording and editing videos. Go figure. LOL.

@respectanimals I'm glad your experience with Zulily has been as good as mine. As for my son, he's our 4th and we've definitely learned some things along the way. I'd love to still be doing this with him in 10 years, but most of the time, they outgrow you. Only time will tell.

I believe I'm correct in saying that the earlier production of these figures took place in Indonesia, then production moved to China. The Indonesia figures were of a lower standard. Hence the basic printed bases as opposed to the gold foil embossed black baize bases seen on the China editions. The paint quality is also of a lower standard, hair colour, skin tone, and lack of gold accents on the sweet boxes. Ron's robe is supposed to be a lighter faded black/grey colour compared to the robes seen on Hermione and Harry in this range, this represents the fact that his robes were worn and faded hand me downs from his older brothers. So it's actually not a paint fault, China got it right, Indonesia didn't.

@@The.Potter.Addict I think this is only an issue with the year one figures. Interesting bit of trivia, Ron is the only one out of the trio to be holding the correct year 1 wand.

Two broken, that's really unfortunate. As for the actual figures themselves I think it's the luck of the draw. My Ron does actually have ginger hair as is shown on the box art, It makes a huge difference to the look of the overall figure. However my Hermione looks like she's spent a week on the beach without her factor 40 !! Her skin tone resembles the skin of a tomato. "are you serious, two scams" 😂- absolutely classic, what a little star 👍

It's so frustrating when items arrived broken! I purchased sirius once before and it arrived broken. I returned it but never bought a replacement. I've just ordered lucius malfoy today. I'm crossing my fingers! 🤞

Sorry about Ron and Sirius being broken but maybe you will get a better copy of Ron next time around. He doesn’t look much like Ron without the red hair or with that skin tone. And his face is wrong and there is something off putting about his eyes as well. But perhaps another is better. I wonder if they had so much breakage and they weren’t able to figure out a way to continue to produce them and make them more sturdy or ship them better that they decided to just discontinue instead.

I think you nailed it. I'm also thinking that they had issues with consistent quality. The Amazon Ron came from Indonesia while the more improved Ron from Zulily came from China. Thanks for watching.

I bought the last Sirius and Hagrid statues by Enesco on Amazon. Hopefully they come unbroken!
