*_I remember that Ki-84 fight. He showed up high above us with a huge energy advantage, with you in a plane that didn’t excel at high altitude. He never stood a chance!_*

Positional energyfighting, that's the term i was looking for! The fight that's not a gunfight. It's the hardest part of the game IMO. It's a bit like chess. A video devoted to this topic is one I've been looking for (hint hint). Thanks for the tutorials!

You're welcome Ellis! we'll see what will come. It is indeed a vital part of air rb.
Jengar is the goat 🐐 Started playing War Thunder about 2 years ago and have used this YT channel solely, for game tips and some relative understanding of certain planes’ capabilities. (Actually just got done binge watching some of your vids at 4:15 AM after hopping off 😂) I became a better pilot in a matter of days! You were the first one to teach me about situational awareness. Keep on keeping on Jengar! Your work matters 🫡

I had played this game in 2016 , and about 3 months later I had stopped I couldnt understand how to play etc Came back to the game 3 months now and watch and listen a lot of your videos while working, starting to getting some pleasure in game, realistic battles are tought dough, either I'me the only player at 5000m or I have 4 enemys with all my team mates fighting at 2000m Can get some games with 2 or 3 kills but its hard, think I've not choose the best tree for what i like to do, americans usually climbs bad, and they turn bad as ..... Triyng to get to rank V at least before strating another country air tree Thanks for the vids and all the work 😘🇵🇹💪

You should really do a series on bfm, man. I would love to learn more, but not everything they teach is applicable in war thunder. Just do an energy fighting bfm video with the best maneuvers and a breakdown of when to do them and why. That would be awesome, man.
Hi Jengar nice video. Can you make tutorial for reversal 🙂

Defensive flying covers a lot. watch that one.
we all know the moment, when u have the perfect energy advantage, you perform a nice spiral climb, the enemy takes it, he gets really slow, you land perfectly on top of the enemy, only to be shredded by the 109 f1 below you that simply refuses to fall out of the sky

Hi Jengar, watched you videos for some times already. With all the movement you made with aircraft was pretty cool, but i have question about keyboard usage, regarding camera and mouse combination. How do u aim? Using mouse or keyboard. Whenever i use camera, i have to press C button constantly with the mouse . But when i want to aim and move the plane, i have to release the C and it trigger back to plane central focus HUD, and i lost the vision of the opponent while dogfighting and that ruin the whole picture to manouver. Probably if possible, u can explain this how u maintained the aim. Or is it different keyboard setup or other skills? It looks like u never release C button at all like how i look in ur game.
@jengar6258

once you start moving with the keyboard, you can use the mouse to look around without the c key. practice it in test flight.

the problem is war thunder is a grinding game so in matches all you want to do is get in and get out as quick as possible so no one bothers climbing and sits on the floor ground pounding

How do you zoom in without locking on
I'm sure this is good information, but I always get demolished in air battles, doesn't help that I fly planes like the buffalo and wilcat I do the recommended "side climb, bnz" but when I try and break away it always seems like the enemy catch up to me and kill me. Too aggressive and I over commit then get whipped in a dogfight, too passive and I get only a few hits no kills and lose the match.
@jotu6073

I know your condition, i have The same problem. The thing is you have to know your Enemy, i finally understood When you Play Boom N Zoom Plane your tactics when you Cant reliably kill your enemy is just running away, if they catch you, around 1.5km i break and fly under them. I do this 2-3 times, sometimes They get bored and fly away😂. But i always look for the Best ocassion

Fine indeed, ty sir! o7
Also, approach every plane as if they are experienced and never assume someone who starts the match ground pounding to be some idiot noob. I don't know how many times I've seen P-51's and Fw-190's not climb and start ground pounding at the start of a match. I know. I've made that mistake. Bled all my altitude to go chase after what I thought was a noob, only for the noob to fly circles around me. Some people just prefer to bait unsuspecting, greedy players like me and they are good at it. I used to fly very risky and go after what I thought was easy kills. Now I just assume everyone is experienced and are baiting, just waiting for me to make an ill-advised aggressive move so they can reverse me and shoot me down. Matches take a bit longer now, but I'm a bit more successful.
@thegrayjedi5202

That’s an interesting point as I almost never go for ground pounders as I’m a high alt player. But that’s something to think about people baiting you into losing your advantage. I might even try that sometime!

@Xavier Just to add, situational awareness helps too. If you notice someone has been ground pounding a minute ago 3km's below you, and now they are at a similar altitude, you can assume they wasted alot of energy climbing and as long as you have kept your speed up, you will most likely be at an advantage.
@brunobautista6316

@@xavier4519 I mean... sometimes in this kind of videos, you see both players climbing. Let's say, Jengar is above the enemy both in the vertical, and Jengar knows he will win, and so it happens, enemy stalls without hitting one single round. In my case (an example of a thing I struggle with) I try to do the same, but enemy outclimbs me, or they stall but still manage to hit. That's the thing I know I have to improve, but I don't know how
