Thandai is made by soaking a mixture of almonds, cashews, melon seeds, and poppy seeds overnight, then blending them with milk to create a smooth base. To this, sugar, saffron, cardamom, rose water, and sometimes a pinch of black pepper are added to enhance the flavor profile. Some variations also include ingredients like fennel seeds, cinnamon, or even dried rose petals for additional fragrance and taste. The drink is typically served chilled and garnished with chopped nuts or a sprinkle of edible silver leaf for a festive touch.

Almonds - 1/4 Cup
Cashew Nuts - 1/4 Cup
Pista - 1/4 Cup
Fennel Seeds - 1/2 TBSP
Peppercorn - 10-12
Watermelon Seeds - 2TBSP
Poppy Seeds - 2TBSP
Cardamom - 10
Dried Rose Petals - 4 TBSP
Saffron Strands - A Pinch
Nutmeg Powder - 1/2 TBSP
Cinnamon Powder - 1/2 TBSP
Milk - 250ml/ A Glass
Rock Sugar / Sugar - 2 TBSP
Ice Cubes - Few
Water - 1.5 Cup
Gulkand - 1 TBSP
