At 6:44, when the pendulum is at the bottom of the swing, the arrow for the velocity should be horizontal. But, nice discussion.

Energy is something that has often baffled me. We really don't know what energy per se exactly is. But maybe that enters the realm of philosophy!

man, your videos are amazing. I think they are some of the best videos on youtube. You should have way more subs and views than you do. Its just sad that all most people want to see is fat people falling and cats.

Amazing video! I'm not a scientist and have never thought of energy this way. In my simplified world, energy=movement and movement=energy because everything moves, even when if we can't see it. But why we have movement I don't know.

If we talk about energy: Think about how much energy a human need. Solar energy -> plants -> animals -> process -> shipping -> cooking -> eating It is incredibly how much energy is needed for one steak or in a slice of bread if you observe the whole process.

The more I see videos from the past and people who were taught on them, the more I feel our education system is just superficially rushing through information for the sake of testing.

And what is distance? One of many basic things that I don't understand. Pleasant video. Thanks for making it.

Distance is always mesured relative to some reference point, it is the measurement of a straight line connecting the object of interest to the reference location.

I've always thought of energy as a property of matter, not a thing unto itself.

Asking, What is Energy? is like asking, What is Existence?, or Why is there Something rather than Nothing? The universe as we experience it is dimensionally separated from the mechanics that would give more understanding to these questions. This is why you can't replace God with science.

You put energy into the pendulum, the moving pendulum puts heat energy into the air molecules, then the energy is dissipated/ destroyed! Yes I said it! It's destroyed just except it get over it and move on with your life. Or maybe it goes back to the sun 🌞 like the circle of life!lol 😆
