I still wonder how this song got so much success, although we all loved it at the club where I played in the 2000s. I thought it would die out like all big hits, but it didn't, it became an eternal classic from it. I'm still a fan of these sounds, I put in so many mixes, I recreated it with fruityloops, edited the original for mix to be longer, shorter or different. This tune made me so much enjoy, creativity, fun and good times and more on it will!

A lot of familiar classic hardware from back in the day. Here's my observations: • Mixer is a Mackie 32/8 bus with the 24 channel expander • Seems the percussion is coming from an Akai 3200XL with 8 output expanded going to the Mackie • Red synth is the original Clavia Nord Lead • Roland Synth is a JV-2080 which is doing the pads and the plucks • Baseline seems to be coming from at Yamaha TX802 which was popular for baselines then • Still not sure what the Emu Orbit 9090 is doing (could be the kick if it's not sampled Akai) • Blue'ish synth above the Nord is a Roland JP-8000 not a Yamaha CS1x • Compressor at the top of the rack is a Behringer Composer Pro or an Autocom • Below that looks like a Behringer Denoiser • Roland SRV-330 below the Akai • Above the Yamaha TX is an SPL GoldMike 9844 • Above the Mackie looks like a BBE 482 Sonic Maximizer

hey!...good observation..i think jay (the studio owner) bought the Emu orbit later as it was hyped at the time (this video was made about 10 years after the release of the remix) i was one of those who jumped on the orbit right away as i had the Emu morpheus prior and still have a XL-1 turbo that came out afterwards ..but this remix and recording was released a few years before the Ortbit did...so i dont think it made it to the remix...

Because this video is a piece of musical history and if you had the opportunity to go back and do some live tweaking to the Three N One mix I’m sure that there’d be a huge audience for some alternate versions. Your mix is probably the only one that has ever mattered for this track and I’d love to her some dubs.

I'm very grateful for this video. Where did you get the original percussion loop starting at around 55 seconds if you don't mind me asking?

Sorry, read the comments...this is in fact Andre Strausse alias " three'n'one' ..who in 2010 went back to the studio belonging to "Jay",with his hardrives and reloading his session that made the "three'n'one" mix,i found his video and downloaded it,not knowing that he was forced to take it down by the record label..he commented here...and to answer your quesion, this is not a sample loop,he sequenced it all..

@Gerhild...the title "the original instruments that Played it" was not my doing either.thats what HE tittle it and I'm sure he means the older synths in the studio.if you were into sequencing & midi that long and with a hit such as this one..you would also UPDATE YOUR GEAR to include some of the latest most popular (The Nord Lead).but as u can see the retro hard drives & Cubase (I think,I used an Alesis Mmt8 like Orbital did at one time ) fits the story..

So those plucks are from a Nord Lead? I didn't know that. I still wonder how those instruments are playing those notes in that whole setup. Must be pretty intricate.
