First a wind turbine blade works sorta like an airplane wing. Blowing air passes around both sides of the blade. The shape of the blade causes the air pressure to be uneven - higher on one side of the blade and lower on the other. And that's what makes it spin...the uneven pressure causes the blades to spin around the center of the turbine. (I was typing out this part out for my report, and I decided to comment it)

yeah well, a football field is 100 yards (not counting end zones) not 100 feet so the video is slightly off with that point

Carl Foster 2 blades that are 150 ft = 300ft = 100 yd. so with the 3rd blade it’s longer.

These systems only produce electricity at about 35% efficiency. A spiral shaped wind catcher turbine... of the same height... can produce power at 95% efficiency. They are also smaller, can be packed into a MUCH smaller area, are lighter, cost less, and can stand up to hurricane force winds.
