Energy 101: Home Energy Assessment
A home energy checkup helps owners determine where their house is losing energy and money - and how such problems can be corrected to make the home more energy efficient. A professional technician - often called an energy auditor - can give your home a checkup. You can also do some of the steps yourself. Items shown here include checking for leaks, examining insulation, inspecting the furnace and ductwork, performing a blower door test and using an infrared camera.

Excellent video on home energy efficiency. Conserving energy saves homeowners money on utility bills, extends HVAC equipment lifecycles, and reduces carbon emissions into our environment. It's win-win-win all the way around.
Check your utility company to find contractors. Make sure you receive a report that reflects the data before making any decisions as to upgrades and enhancements to your home's systems.
Good Illustration of what can be considered in a home- short and to the point!
This is a great place to start! There has not been snow in many regions of Texas for years, so maybe this video is better for people that live in colder places.

Thank you department of energy. Excellent resource video. I'm embedding it on my website.
Great video! Maybe time to update the video from fluorescent bulbs to LEDs?
this video was great!
Less heat is transferred into the home when you shingles have a high solar reflectance index (SRI) since more solar energy is reflected by the roof, leading to lower energy costs. At PERTEX Roofing we offer Texas homeowners the Pristine Pearl shingle which sets a new standard because of the white laminate that is rated at .25 SRI and protected by Scotchgard,™ so the heat leaves but the color stays! While air infiltrates a home through every nook and cranny, about one-third of this air infiltrates through openings in the ceilings, walls, and floors.
Thanks for the vid.

This video is really well done, but I would like to request the thumbnail to change. Its not ideal for embedding into your website or showing others. And the cover of the video is essential in getting someones attention. Maybe change it :26 or 2:58. Or even a cover page that just says. Energy 101: Home Energy Assessment with the question underneath.. What is a home Energy Assessment? Thx for posting.
50% of the heating and air conditioning system is the ducting system. If ducts are leaking your leaking money.
Why did you all allow scope to destroy the ice sheet with middlesboro police department?
