It took me a weekend of nonstop playing. I remember being sick with the stomach flu, minecraft and chicken noodle soup were my buds. I had a ton of random cobblestone and a fair amount of glass stored for no good reason and I ended up making this. It's too bad the waterfall glitch (sliding up) doesn't work anymore.

I really miss old Minecraft too because all of the updates made things harder sometimes and others just flat out made the worst .

I remember watching this years ago when I first found out about Minecraft, it brings me so much nostalgia. This phase of Minecraft was definitely the best.

I remember seeing this video a long time ago, it’s one of the reasons I downloaded Minecraft. I was 2 when this video came out and to be honest, it’s one of my oldest memories. I turn 16 this month and seeing this again made me shed tears. Thank you, everyone. ❤😢 Edit: wow, what a great time to be alive. Because we watched these videos when we where like 6, Minecraft just seems like a portal to the past , it’s pretty odd.

Damn I remember 11 year old me seeing this for the first time and playing it over and over and trying to recreate it but I couldn't because I only had the demo 💀 being 19 and looking at this gives me so much nostalgia, it's crazy

@@LMMSkits I definitely agree with more to do. But, I feel it is taking the simplicity out of the game... There is too much to do. Also the community is awful now. It keeps getting worse.

I’m here after watching the Village and Pillage trailer and testing it out, it just shows we went a long way with Minecraft, it will be in our hearts always!

Minecraft changed way too much... if Notch stopped making Minecraft during Alpha, then I'd be happy. EDIT: I think beta 1.8 would be a nice place to stop development instead of alpha, but I’m happy to see how far along Minecraft’s development has come along, and it makes me feel super nostalgia to see older videos of what the game was like when lots of us started playing.

Dejan Bartolic Dude what I mean is that in the new updates they fixed how boats worked so I thought of downgrading to relive the endless waterslide instead of playing in 1.7 were boats break automatically and spaz in different directions

I am going to create a new folder in the new MC launcher for this version, being Alpha v1.1.2_01. This would be the best way for me to experience Alpha at it's best. I did start in Minecraft when It was in B 1.8.1 I first learned of Minecraft in August 2011, but did not really get into it, until Oct 2011.

This was Alpha wasn't it? The brightness of it and the fact that it looks like nighttime in the dark says maybe. Anyways, was INVedit around in Alpha? It's been quite some time since I played so there's always the possibility that I could be misremembering(?) things. But god, you're right, I remember having to collect a bunch of this stuff and then hope to god I mess it up because if I did, well, that's just another chance to get slapped by a mob.

Reversalification Yes you are right, INVedit was in alpha. but a later alpha than what this video is recorded in (Alpha 1.1.2_01) if i remember correctly INVedit came out around Alpha 2.0.0_01 or somthing like that. i can't quite remember.
