To my understanding this just proves how much we need an edge as investors because playing the market like everyone else just isn’t good enough. I've been quite unsure about investing in this current market and at the same time I feel it's the best time to get started on the market, what are your thoughts?

I always found the idea of using spreadsheets very time consuming and unnecessary. I just dump a bunch of money into my savings accounts each month and keep my spending money in a separate account and try to spend as little as possible.

@@davidjackson4437 Yes i agree and right now the markets are going berserk right now. This is the best time to watch them, get to know them better, and strike when the opportunity presents itself. I learned that from my mentor, ’CLAUDIA TRINIDAD RIVAS’ she's seen dozens of market cycles over the past few decades, and she has a feel for how they move, why they move, and what comes next.

@@gowonjake It's possible to statistically measure whether some decisions were wise. But in the real world, day to day , we simply don't. It's too hard. We prefer simple stories, which are easy but often devilishly misleading. the mentor I'm working with, made me know there is no faster way to feel rich than to spend lots of money on really nice stocks. It's really that simple!!...

In my 13 years of trading experience following mistakes most traders do 1) Don't spend enough time on research ( go on KZread everything is free, don't read garbage books ) 2) Spending there money on so called Guru ( no one, no one knows how market will perform.. and rule of thumb.. invest in yourself not in so called Guru ) 3) Focus only on Great stocks ( don't trade ETF, oil, Penny stocks ) 4) Stop listening NEWS and rumors. Don't trade on them. 5) Focus only on 3 stocks ( I only trade Apple, Tesla and Amzn ) 6) Minimize your risk. 7) Papertrade if you want. 8) watch market 9) If you are new, do not trade for first 1 or 2 hours.. and do not trade after 2:30 p.m. I used to wait for top and bottom to form then trade as per set up. 10) Trust yourself.. if you invest in best you will get the best... if you invest in penny.. you will get penny. 11) Make less profit but be consistent. Love Trading... you will never be wrong if you follow this

There r no A+ setups man.. u gotta find ur own by doing the work n getting tht experience with a lot n I mean a LOT of failures n then u find ur own A+ but never ever execute it without proper risk management (position sizing).

You may not be able to save up 25k anytime soon, but you don't need that to be successful, idk why people think they need 25k+ to be successful trading, you don't...and tbh you may have been trading with too much In the first place if you couldn't afford to lose it.

I think trading the trend and sticking to your strategy consistently and tweaking it really works. Also, the obvious risk management. Trend trading using volume profiles works well

Because when you’re own money is involved your whole mind set changes. That’s why paper trading is so effective. I could see 10 trades I would take without hesitation in my paper account, but when I move over to the live account I don’t take any of them. It’s a mental battle with yourself. If you can move your paper mindset to your live mindset you’re gonna be alright. I don’t think that can be taught, you have to fight that battle on your own. You can say “Yeah, but if you keep losing you’ll get fired” Yes, but still, when you’re own money is involved it’s a totally different ballgame, you don’t get fired but you’ll have to get a job at walmart because you’ll be broke. The stakes are so much higher.

What is up with the never-ending vagueness of the trading community? I fully understand that trading is 90% psychological, and your execution is more important than your setup. But that 10% that is the actual setup is also extremely important. All anyone ever talks about is "the setup" or "the pattern" but never mentions what they are.
