End-organ resistance to PTH (pseudohypoparathyroidism) - Pseudohypoparathyroidism (PHP) refers to a group of heterogeneous disorders defined by targeted organ (kidney and bone) unresponsiveness to PTH. PTH resistance is characterized by:
●Hypocalcemia
●Hyperphosphatemia
●Elevated PTH concentrations

Isn’t it an autosomal dominant disorder?
One important aspect to note here is that ABO is not a condition, it is a skeletal phenotype. Also it is important to note that the Gs defect (could be due to a GNAS gene defect) results in low levels of cAMP generation in kidney or bone.

I have Pseudohypoparathyroidism type 1B and the only medication that can help regulate calcium levels effectively for me is calcitriol. But it doesn't stop me feeling extremely tired 99% of the time. 😥
