i spent the ENTIRE month of November reading Throne of Glass and it was the best month of my life reading and just in general bc of it! i read ACOTAR before TOG, im planning on reading Crescent City in January before the 3rd book comes out, just so sad that I’m almost caught up with all of Sarah’s books. I’ve definitely grown to love her as one of my favorite authors ❤

Ahhhh omg I cannot wait to reach this point but I also definitely want to take my time with the series and read it just when I’m really in the mood for it so I can get the most out of the experience!! especially because you only get that first time read experience once!!! 🥰🫶🏼

I‘ve read the first book of Acotar so far because it gave me Autumn Vibes but now I feel like I have to wait for March because the second one is giving spring haha but the first book was a 4/5 for me because I had to get into the story first. But after a few chapters I enjoyed it even more! :)

I think it's a good call to read Caraval first! My friend got me into Once Upon a Broken Heart, and I wish I had read the Caraval books first because I ended up loving OUBH so much that I wanted to read more in the world/ from the author. But reading them out of order spoiled some plot points 😑 I think you'll enjoy OUBH so much more after being introduced to the world and characters!

I also didn't read too many books in November. I was finishing up the TOG series so I spent the whole month reading Kingdom of Ash. Im so so excited to see you start this series because I loved it so so much and it was my first fantasy series! I also read Iron Flame which I really enjoyed :) I read Powerless by Lauren Roberts which GIRL YOU ARE GONNA EAT THIS UPPPPPP. I then read A December to Remember (I am doing a book swap with my coworkers so I wanted to read and annotate it before December) and lastly; Things We Never Got Over. I love your videos Hal and I can't wait to see your December reads and thoughts :)))))

Honestly I could not do it without my husband Markie!! He helps with the kids so much when it comes time to edit and record!!! But you will get out of the slump don’t worry, you just have to find the right book 🥰🫶🏼

Same! I am hoping to finish Acotar series soon, then I'll read Throne of Glass, then Crescent City. But I know myself well enough to know that I will not be finishing all of that in time for the Crescent City 3 release in late January.

I read Assassin’s Blade as the third book and I'm so happy I did! I think I'd be a bit confused if I read it as the first book. But many people do and seem to enjoy it so that's great! I'm reading Queen of Shadows right now and this series is so so solo good. 🤩

@@HalJones there are many characters and also POVs but Sarah J. Maas is a master at making both the characters and the story easy to follow. It's a GREEEAT series and I think you'll love it! ⭐

One of my goals for the new year is to read the TOG series and I’m also leaning towards starting assassin’s blade! Still need to finish the ACOTAR series though (which I’m loving so far and has become one of my new fave series!)

@@HalJones see I was gonna say that's probably what it'll do bc at first I only saw part of the message. Then I clicked it and yeah the second part sounds more like me. Trying to be better about that but sometimes it's hard . Just gotta have all the books ! Also the Addicted Callloway series is so good! I read Hot House Flower at the very start of December.

@Hal Jones - It Ends with Us is AMAAAAAAAAZING. It’s a 5 star for me and I don’t even understand how the author did it. Very important story that everyone should read. It messed me up initially because like you seem to enjoy, I go in to books not knowing much, and I was in a situation like theirs. It surprised me when the script flipped on that one. I can’t wait to see what you think.

Actually my goal in 2024 is also to start the Sarah j. Maas world. But I think the top of the 2024 TBR are the throne of glass series, and shatter me series. I researched which order to read tog and there was so many people who said to read it in this or that order. Like which one do I pick 😂but I ended up choosing to read the assassins blade first, and now I’m so happy to se that your also starting with this book!! 💗
