My 5th grader used Reading 5 and 6th grader used Reading 6 from CLE. They both loved it and I am so impressed with how much they learned. I will definitely be purchasing Reading 7. I love that they are only 1 semester so I can still incorporate books for them to read.
Thanks Wendy! I’m definitely going to check out the CLE readers for next year. I’m excited for us to start IEW over the summer. Writing is not my thing, so I’m very grateful to have this option. I hope that you have a beautiful weekend.

Did you ever do the CLE kindergarten? Do you have a video on that? I'm interested in it for my 4 and a half year old

My son who loves reading enjoyed CLE Reading in middle school. However, my daughter who does NOT enjoy assigned reading especially, did not like it and do well with it.
What are the literature circles? I may want to do something like that for my rising 8th grade daughter.

Literature circles are small, student-led book discussion groups where each participant has a specific role, such as summarizer, questioner, or connector. These roles help guide the discussion and ensure active participation. The goal is to promote a deeper understanding of the text through collaborative learning and critical thinking. Students are encouraged to share their thoughts, ask questions, and make connections between the book and their own experiences.
