End of Pride Month Q & GAY - GAME SHOW EDITION! | Thomas Sanders & Friends

Комедия

Potential Flash Warning - 00:32 - 00:35
Yep, Pride month is over, but the gays are still here, and we couldn’t let another one go by without doing another video answering some of the questions you all had for us! BUT we wanted to also put our knowledge of gay culture and history to the test as well! That way, we’re ALL learning things and embarrassing ourselves at the same time! This video was an absolute blast with some of the best people, and I hope you enjoy this video, too! Will you beat us at gay trivia knowledge?? Let us know!!
Gotta give a HUGE thank you to all the AMAZING friends I had on for this video. You all are incredible and I absolutely wanna hang with you all again!

    This was my first time celebrating pride month as a bi and genderfluid person. I couldn't do much because of covid, but I painted my nails as my flag colours and celebrated in my own way. I first thought I was she/they, because sometimes I feel feminine and other times I wasn't sure what I was. But after some research, time figuring myself out, and asking my BFF (who is lesbian and she/they,), I found out that I was genderfluid and now I accept all pronouns. Sometimes I'm more feminine, sometimes I feel more masculine, and other times I'm not sure. I go by two names now, Emma (the name my parents gave to me) and River (a name that could be used for any pronoun). No one knows about my second name, River, except for my BFF right now. I had also thought I was straight for many years of my life, since I've only dated guys and knew that I liked guys. But recently I've found that I'm bi, with a preference for guys. It took a lot of thinking, reflecting, and research about what it meant to be bi, but I figured it out. As for coming out, I first came out to my best friend because I was sure that they would accept me, and they did. Next, I came out to my other friends. Some of them were very supportive, others didn't care. But I'm glad that they at least accept me. Then, after many months of hesitation and thinking, I came out to my mom. I would've come out sooner, except for the fact that she doesn't understand the many different pronouns and why they exist. When I finally came out to her, she doubted how I felt and how I identified as. She said that she would support me, whatever happens, but she doesn't believe that I'm bi and genderfluid. That hurt me a bit, to know that she doubts it, but I have hope that maybe one say she'll understand and stop doubting. My next plan is to come out to my dad and grandparents. My dad had mentioned that he thought he was gay growing up, but it turned out he was straight. He thinks that media is also pushing the lgbtqia stuff, so he thinks there's a lot of confusion and lgbtqia people now might not be lgbtqia. So I'm not sure what my dad would think, but I'm hoping for the best. As for grandparents, my Oma and Opa on my dads side already don't like many things about me. My Oma doesn't like my gothic style and how I want to cut my hair and dress. My Opa doesn't like how shy I am and how much black I wear. I'm debating whether or not to come out to them, because I don't want to give them something more that they wouldn't like about me. As for my grandparents on my moms side of the family (I have three grandparents there,), I know that my Nanny and Papa would accept me no matter what. But for my Granny, I don't ever plan on telling her, we aren't close and I'm not sure how she'd think. After that, I'll come out to my cousins and then the rest of my family. I hope they'd accept me. (sorry for the rant)

  • @stargazer8262

    @stargazer8262

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@linusdavies6461 Doing some research into what it means to be bi, particularly bi with preferences, definitely does help. Ask yourself questions about how you feel towards the different genders. Do you see yourself settling down with a girl and getting married to a girl? How about a boy? If you find that you can see yourself being in a romantic and intemate relationship with both males and females, you are most likely bi. From my experiences, and how I found out that I was bi, I had to do a lot of thinking about what I feel towards the different genders. I thought about it, with the help of a lot of research and support from other lgbtqia people, and I found that I am in fact bi. I find both males and females attractive, I can find myself getting married to either a boy or girl in the future, etc. I know that everyone is different and has different experiences, so I can't know what the signs are for you, but I really do recommend doing the research and reaching out to others who are bi or questioning for bi. The more you know about how you feel and what it means to be bi, the easier it will be to figure out this all.

    I recently figured out I was nonbinary and my sister is the only one I told in my family. It didn't really go well. I wanted to make pride post but her reaction made me to scared to.. I live in UT and my entire family is Mormon. She basically nicely told me the I'm going to hell and I should go back to church for my own salvation. I'm going to a family reunion next week and am super nervous. I haven't changed the way I dress or act, but I'm just so scared that my family will somehow know. My friends have become my safe space. They are the ones that were with me while i was crying on the floor because I was so terrified and confused. They talked me through it and helped me find my labels and they instantly switched to my correct pronouns. My family knows I'm bisexual but have constantly told me if I ever date a woman she wouldn't be welcome in the family. How they reacted to me being bi makes me terrified to tell them I'm nonbinary. No one EVER gets to tell me my friends aren't my true family!

    I am so sorry this happened to you. As a queer Mormon who has done personal research in this matter, I know that the Mormon church teaches us to be accepting and kind to everyone, even and especially if they make different life choices than we might think God planned for them. I am out to my mom and while she hasn't had much experience dealing with this stuff, she was very loving and told me I would always be her baby. I have a gay cousin as well who's Mormon parents accepted them. Its painful for me to think that so many people, in the name of trying to do what they think is right, distance themselves from people who experience life differently or make different choices. That is not what God wants for us. I hope things get better with your family♥️🧡💛💚💙💜

    ok wow so the bit where avy introduced themself and said they don't have any pronouns? that really hit me hard, since i've been struggling with pronouns lately. none of the sets i've tried have felt comfy for me, so realizing i don't have to have a set of pronouns? that was just really cool, thanks avy :)

    My dad told me that he “earned the right” to call me by my deadname. You never have the right to deadname and/or misgender anyone. Calling someone what they want to be called is just basic human respect and if you can’t show someone that respect, then you just shouldn’t talk to them or talk about them. Sorry if this seems harsh, I just have a very strong opinion about this😅

    Thomas' content has helped me through my depression and make pride month more interesting for me. I am NB and gay and struggling through the fact that my entire town is phobic towards it, I told my family that I am changing my name but they continue not to help me through this and ignore me. It feels like the song waving through a window by Evan Hansen, they just ignore me and I feel invisible.This year has been the worst for me, but Sanders sides and this sort of thing has made it better. Happy pride month
