My 35 yr old son who works at a hospital was in bed the very same day...a walk to the local store was barely possible. In one interview Biden said he had been trying to stay awake. I have had the experience of being so tired and overwhelmed that I almost fell asleep on my feet and definitely lost consciousness for a couple of seconds. Looking back at the interview, I can well believe that that's what happened to him. It's weird experience and normally I would think it's not possible ... but it happened to me and I never was under the kind of pressure that he is - and I was 40 years younger. Just my tuppence worth.

Re being drugged. It could be that due to his not being well before the debate he was prescribed medication and he had some unexpected side effects eg drowsiness

Growing up in the seventies, and having lived in the Middle East I concur with your views on the Qu’ran and the small proportion of those who follow ‘jihad’. I always relate it to the nightly news in the seventies when the IRA were bombing etc. It wasn’t all the people of Northern Ireland but a small group whose actions were extreme that made the news. Now that we have a new Labour government, whilst it’ll never be labelled as ‘undoing Brexit’ can you see the UK rejoining the EU in the future?
