If I remember correctly, the blocks were 46x46 mm and the light strip in the middle of the block was 10 mm wide.

What size do the pieces end up being? Looks great.

Blocks are ca 46x46mm. Board size is ca 280x420mm. 40mm thick.

very nice... How long do you let in soak in the mineral oil?

I soak them about hour - two. Then i will let them dry overnight, and then coating with oil-beeswax mixture.

This is food safe mineral oil.

No, i dont. I just did took some piece of MDF, added wooden edges, and installed bolts and nuts.

Why? Its enough glue there.

0:15 - being on the pith sure won't help.

Beautiful board but not near food safe enough with such hard though open pores on end

Failure to follow good safety practices with a jointer - not watching this again.
