I was 17, a few months away from actually being able to vote. But I had already voted. I voted with my heart. And I put ‘Eden’ on the ballot…

I don't like how the devs wouldn't let you side with the Enclave and no I don't mean acting as a double agent, I mean full on siding with them instead of the Brotherhood.

Because who needs nuanced characters and dynamic choices when you can just make characters exaggerated caricatures and railroad your player characters into being altruistic paragons of virtue and heroism? I mean even the narrator at the end balls you out like "why do you not do what I want, you are my puppet you do as I want!"

What was great about this radio station was that it was one of the only things that gave me hope while wandering the wasteland. Seeing the bombed out hollowed husk of DC and the surrounding areas and every waster's indifference to the horrors around them. Even if they were lies, the promises of baseball, peace, and a better tomorrow were the only comfort I could find.

I was expecting the same thing lol! Though, to be honest, I kinda like the twist! It's such a genuine twist it's hard not to at least give credit where credit is due. It completely sidesteps your expectations

Across a lot of videos about John Henry Eden speeches I've seen lots of comments about people saying when they played fall out 3 when they were young listening to John Henry Eden and the enclave radio music inspired them to keep pressing forward through the darkened tunnels and infested wastelands of the game as if the man's fatherly voice was the reason why they kept pressing on because they felt like it was their duty to do so and restore America in the game I was one of those people there was never a time when I felt like I was panicked and the voice of John Henry Eden reminding me that I was doing my duty for America reminded me to steal myself and ready for battle And through each battle throughout those tunnels of the metro I walked out proud Victorious knowing I had done my duty for the sake of bringing America back. It surely was a lost opportunity that the game developers did not give us a chance to side with the enclave because for all the b******* that they've done in the end the core goal that they always had never changed. It was always to bring back America and that was something I was more than willing to Fight to achieve.

Especially if it had a Col. Autumn and President Eden choice as well because Eden wanted to follow the original goal of the Enclave and kill off everyone with the mutated FEV. Autumn wanted to be the saviors and do exactly what the BOS did in broken steel with the purified water.

He uses contradiction so perfectly in a couple of instances, like pining for the past when America was "great" yet uses it to make a point about the old system that squandered everything out of ignorance.

Im on my first play through right now, I can’t believe for the first three hours. I completely believed this Enclave propaganda, I was like wow I’m glad someone’s trying to rebuild America in this wasteland! I hope that’s a faction I can help out! LOL then I met one and he tried to kill me!

Autumn saw exactly that, Enclave needed to just let it go, to let go that useless idea of the "pure" dna. DNA mutates constantly, true that Supermutants and ghouls should be...removed from the future but Autumn had the right idea, the right path...too bad

Just find the Enclave base up there. I mean... that's classified. Carry on as usual.

To be honest i think in fallout 4 the enclave should have been a viable faction. After all the sole survivor is in the military so if they went to enlist they would already be in the older enclave databases and would probably be made a field officer. More interesting than the minutemen at least

F3 had the best radio in Fallout. Also I like how by making GNR signal weak in the early game, it encourages you to listen to this instead.

While it does sound conservative and jingoist on the surface level, JHE wants to give money back to families in a type of _wealth redistribution_ so that we can give the youth hope.

I've never heard that clip with Eden introducing Colonel Autumn or the clip about the purifier being attacked by the BoS. I wonder if it's cause I'd usually have to fight every eye bot at that point in the story so I'd never hear their messages...

I decided to go back to Fallout 3 again,but only to do one file than will back to playing Fallout New Vegas full time.

They didn't, it was only Edens plan, if you reason with autumn at the Jefferson memorial he will tell you that this plan was abandoned long ago and that they will distribute fresh water to establish control over various settlements and expand enclave's ranks (long story short, they'd become the BoS from fallout 4 cause that's the exact same thing Lyons did)

Despite fallout3 being a more polished game than New Vegas. Its new Vegas that has so much more depth and choices when it comes to deciding who rules the Mojave. Also NV is true to its roots ,and has several references to Fallout1&2. Joining the Enclave should be a choice in Fallout3. It shoule be more than simply spiking the water purifier.
