All my glitter fun gels were also thick and chunky. Some of them wouldn't even cure properly. I had one like your last one, 162, the messed up brush is fixable. Just clean the brush as you would any other synthetic brush. I believe I also used very hot water after cleaning. If you'd rather not you can always just replace the brush part in the lid.
