nope, on the 2018 version the UI looks slightly different and there is no "engineering mode". There is only a "dealer menu" that comes up by pressing long on the car picture. The dealer menu doesn't have any SW Settings submenu or anything related to Mirrorlink. Please share if anyone knows how to activate it

In the cars sold in the USA it’s called Bluetooth and it’s engaged from the factory.

@@saldirays I went to the Mercedes garage and they replacement the button unit. It is a unit with several buttons. They told me that it is a common issue with newer Mercedes cars. So you have to replace the button unit, it should also be programmed/ coded.

How to do it with a w213 2020??

In my 2018 e class this method doesn't work. My menu is slightly different. The same icons, but a little bit different backlight. Maybe mercedes has blocked this 10s pressing method?

what kind of device do you have exactly? COMAND or "Audio 20 with larger display"/"Media display" ? I'm about to place an order for a W213 and definitely would want mirrorlink on it.

you can do it from delar mode by rest system I did it and the mirror link came up

what do you mean by "by rest system' ? You mean "reset system' in the dealer menu? I did not dare to click that. Why would that bring up the mirrorlink option?

Now i know, First the dealer must activate engineering mode using Xentry. Then Mirrorlink can be turned on from the engineering menu. Dealers are reluctant to enable engineering mode.

IF YOU CANT OPEN THE MIRRORLINK THEN THE CAR IS NOT EQUIPED WITH MIRRORLINK IT IS AN OPTION WHEN YOU BUY THE CAR AS NEW. THERE ARE OTHER OPTIONS ON KZread WITH OBD DEVICES BUT DONT TRY IT YET

I'm hoping so much that it'll work, I placed an order today for a w213. It didn't for others here in the comments, this got me worried.

Doesn't work on my W213, I can't enter Engineering Mode as shown in this video. The car just does nothing when pressing + holding the wheel while selecting "System" in Comand.

OK so engineering mode was successfully enabled, the parameters set to what is visible in the video, head unit rebooted, mirror link started, fails every time! Any advice on this?
