Fn letters on the key is red so is F1, F2, etc also in red. So would this key, Fn, acctivate the F1, F2, etc keys or the volume keys, etc (other functions together with the F?

Press Fn + Spacebar or Esc on the keyboard (Got it from Google please try if it works). Sorry in advance if it does not work.

I've tried that with my T540p and this does not work. I have tried so many things but the Fn key-function so to adjust light and sound will not come back. With my model there is not even a control lamp lighting up. Do you have an advice in this situation. Thanks.

Contact technical support I think it's a hardware or software issue. Try to update your firmware and see if it helps else you need to connect with tech support for your laptop. Not every problem can be fixed from this small video. All the best.

@@Latest-techtips - thank you for your feed-back. Yes, I even did a driver-update for my Lenovo Think-Pad ... and still, it's not working. I was reading, that there are many people who have purchased a Lenovo Laptop with the same problem. ... I will probably have to contact Tech-Support, because if it's not just a small issue that can be adjusted with a few commands, while drivers are also updated, then it's something only the manufacturer is able to help solving.

Hello, I hope you have a nice day, but I have been running into a problem where my fn key is causing my keyboard to not work properly. Like for example all the function keys works but all the other keys don't work as intended. And when I press the escape key alone it will light up the fn key or turn it off. That is literally the only thing my keyboard can do. Function keys and light up and down the fn key. I am really lost on what I should do, I brought it to a technician and he didn't manage to fix the issue.

I did a quick Google search here is what I found "Press Fn + Esc to enable Fn Lock and disable the hotkey functionality." Does it not work for you?

I looked at the keyboard online it appears it's very similar to W540. Can you confirm if you pressed Fn + Esc and does it set a green LED on the Esc key? In my opinion, it should have worked for A475 as well unless Lenovo changed it.
