Welcome to the official KZread channel of chart-topping female R&B vocal group, En Vogue. This is the home of 90s hits “Hold On,” “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It),” “Giving Him Something He Can Feel,” “Free Your Mind,” and “Don’t Let Go (Love)” among successful albums ‘Born To Sing,’ ‘Funky Divas,’ and ‘EV3,’ and numerous awards and nominations.
En Vogue was formed by producers Denzil Foster and Thomas McElroy under the vision of a modern R&B girl group with strong vocals, intelligence, and show-stopping glamour. Dawn Robinson, Cindy Herron, Maxine Jones, and Terry Ellis made the cut out of 3,000 women who auditioned. The group was an immediate hit upon their first single in 1990 and set the standard for female vocal groups. Through the evolution of the lineup to the current members of Herron-Braggs, Ellis, and Rhona Bennett, En Vogue continues to tour, release new music, and dazzle and inspire fans everywhere. Man I will never truly understand why anyone thinks that Destiny's Child can hold a candle to En Vogue. En Vogue was a complete group, with four very strong vocalists, all of whom played a role in each song that they sang. You can actually hear each singer's voice, yet they harmonize so well.

    The Greatest girl group of the 90s in my opinion. Their harmony, class, and style that was all their own. They were like a 90s Supremes. Their voices were all distinct and they blended so well together. The women of En Vogue were classy, articulate, and beautiful. They didn't try to out-sing each other and they all complimented each other. DAWN, MAXINE, TERRY & CINDY.

    It gets old bra when you realize life is progressive and that there are more glorious things of which we've never scratched the surface in music that will suddenly obliterate our so called 90's music whether hip pop, blues or whatever they are called. I am only saying this because I was in the spirit taken there very briefly and the songs sang to the praise of God in heaven makes every song sang on earth seem non-existence and so filthy except hymns and praises sang with a pure heart and led by the Spirit of God according to the tune/instruments used in heaven to praise God (Ephesians 5:19, Psalm 150:3-6). So trust me, these songs are not just old with this old world as the scripture terms it but passing by along with everything in this old world. This one of the reason I believe God said He will make a new heaven and a new heaven where lives and things will remain new and never old forever (Isaiah 65:17, Revelation 21:1). "And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these (referring to people) should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out (in worship and praise to God because He is marvelous and exceeding glorious to know (John 17:3).

Or at least another group who really had great harmony like this Brownstone is the only other group I could really think of for their song Grapevyne. I thought it was a Gospel choir backing them Same thing on Kelly Price's Friend Of Mine

    This is hands down my favorite En Vogue song. They're vocals were all on point and flawless as they've always been but at 3:20 when Cindy stepped forward for her verse she blew it out of the park...she was just so blunt and matter of fact of what she was singing and meant it. Just beautiful music these ladies made. Uhhh how I miss the 90's. Youngins of this generation will never know what they missed out on because music just isnt like this anymore.

    @J B Normally you'd be right, nostalgia is a hell of a thing. It has us viewing the past through rose tinted glasses... But when it comes to music you're wrong. Today you have to search for soulful passionate music of this quality. You have to look for independent artistes and obscure albums from greats who aren't trending now with limited success. Or enjoy the smattering of great music that become hit songs nowadays... Back then it was what was on the radio day in day out. We were spoiled and didn't even know it.

  • @sigerlion8608

    @sigerlion8608

    3 жыл бұрын

    @J B Nostalgia effect is real but the 90s were better was a fact. Sure there was less "stuff to buy" and people had a little less money, but we didn't have to deal with the terrorist level shit of 2000s for a decade. Oh it's orange today, now it's red, today it's marmalade! "Look at them suicide bombing! We gotta fight back!" - GW Bush Jr. Jobs were much easier to find in the 90s thanks to Clinton. You can literally be dramatic like the TV shows and shout at your boss "I QUIT MOTHERFUCKER!" and find a job within a week. There were no cell phones in the 90s so people actually connected face to face a lot more. Internet was slow as hell so people were not stuck in front of a computer all day. Kids played outside more. Music preference is subjective, styles are obviously different now and it's not for everyone. There are a lot of auto tuners today so that even people who can't sing and doesn't have a good voice are mainstream artists. Robotic voices makes them sound like they have no soul. People aren't saying there aren't any good singers now but the quantity is seriously lacking compared to a few decades ago. Seriously you just sound like a kid. Stop being so full of yourself.
