En roadtrip till Vildmarksvägen och Stekenjokk den 6 juni 2020
I år så har det varit enorma snömängder uppe vid Stekenjokk. Vi ville såklart se detta och åkte därför till Vildmarksvägen och Stekenjokk lagom till att de officiellt öppnade vägen den 6 juni 2020.

Follow along on a roadtrip to the Wilderness Road and Stekenjokk on the official opening day, June 6th 2020. There's still lots of snow there and we also found time to visit a few waterfalls and rapids.

Tack! Ja, Vildmarksvägen är toppen att köra längs om man gillar natur
Oj vilken skillnad mot när vi körde den och filmade strax efter midsommar.

Ja, visst är det häftigt hur det kan skilja sig så mellan åren men även bara en kort stund efteråt.

Yes, loads of snow! Maybe someday you'll be able to visit northern Sweden, it's really beautiful in wintertime.
To bad the road is plowed before the tiny Reindeer babies are big enough to climb the snow mountains, they get caught in the car lane or disturbed by tourists so they get seperated from mom

Oj, hade helt missat din kommentar. Sorry! Det beror nog lite på hur mycket snö det kommit under vintern. När jag var där i början av juni var det fullt med snö, när jag var där ett annat år i mitten av juli så hade allt smält.

Vi var där 31 juli och det var fläckar med snö här o var, 890 meter över havet
And I thought we got a lot of snow here in Montreal....

@@intehelena I always wondered how they got such big snow falls/piles off of the road. "Typical" snow removal equipment can't blow snow that high (at least I don't think so)

@@TaintedMango I think it depends on the equipment used, yeah. My uncle has a tractor and snow removal equipment that can blow the snow very high, and it's a really old one. But maybe usually they don't really need to blow the snow so high? @@intehelena That snow blower does resemble the ones we have here except for the "spitting system". The ones we have in the city have a guide than can be adjusted to direct where the snow will be expelled whereas the equipment in the video doesn't - which could explain why it propels the snow so far/high check it out here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hZ6Zl9Cvg9yYmrg.html
