He did asses circulation as he assessed pulse and skin, ABC for med call That would be more so XABC for suspecting MOI. But she was found sitting in her room no report of trauma (fall)

When I tested, you have to do the first set of vitals and such. Then your partner may complete the second set and such.

Not trained to have a partner cause this profession is in the gutter and more often then not you won’t have a partner. Even IF your assigned an emt as partner there may be a good chance they are a complete dud

@@oneavel817 Blood sugar pertains to neurological function as well, with severe hypoglycemia immitating a stroke if low enough for a long enough amount of time.

He did well, but once I see her skin signs , “pale, cool, clammy” it would be important to get vitals right away rather than just going through SAMPLE and OPQRST. Her BGL would most certainly rule out if this is in fact a diabetic emergency or not. First generally on scene somebody is already getting vitals while the paramedic or partner is gathering a story/info

These scenarios are for the state practical exam. You have to follow a sheet that they score you on.

Psychomotor testing is nothing like real life, which is why they’re getting rid of them (except for AEMT for some reason)

Absolutely, our student pulled out the glucometer to signify taking one. Most skill stations won't have you prick the volunteers finger. You can imagine how fun that would be if 25 students were coming through your station right!
