Not sure what the other commenters are on about, this matches up with the class I'm currently taking for the medical assessment practicals.

She is having chest pains ...pulse 124 ,shallow breath. Cool and clammy skin , high B/P, what is she doing, what more evidence do u need to let u know it's a cardiac event and administer Nitro or ASA,

This is a EMT-Basic class, New York State EMS protocols do not allow EMT basics to administer nitro (unless prescribed) , and only can administer ASA. NYS BLS Protocol says the following: - Airway management, and o2 therapy - ASA 324mg chewed, only if able - Acquire and transmit 12 Lead ECG - If patient requests, assist patient with prescribed nitro, up to 3 doses, 5 min apart, provided the patients systolic BP is > 120mmHG.

Statewide BLS Protocol at the time of this videos filming. NREMT and NYS skills sheet state "appropriate O2 therapy", allowing for regional variations. As stated, videos are for reference only and not the sole way to achieve success in any skill.

What is consular? That doesn't make any sense in regards to a patient assessment

She said "conscience, alert and oriented" but said it fast so it blurred together. I had a hard time understanding it too so I can see where you heard "consular"

Cardiac assessment..really ....do u know what u are listening to, cripes wait until she becomes unconscious I guess
