Match 2 was SO satisfying. You on the back foot nearly the entire game, opponent being a dick with the sleepy emote, and you having the heart of the cards for those insane top decks. You're the best Luca!!!

Oh, so _this_ is why I had three opponents playing energy against me in Explorer today. I had guessed before SIR released that I'd see someone trying to cast Emrakul off Aetherworks Marvel, but I didn't know why I ran into so many of them so quickly... Of course it was an LVD video. 😄 I was seriously considering adding Summary Dismissal to my Dimir control deck to counter the Emrakul cast itself because opponents keep sneaking Marvel under my counterspells.

LVD warps the meta, particularly noticeable in historic brawl right after he releases a video.

For gameplay yes - I still like Rhytic study and MtgRemy for other content

Knew this one was coming… split between this version and a possible historic brawl version

Very interestingly timed video, seeing how in the coming months I believe Emrakul will be VERY lore-relevant ;)

That Ugin came in clutch, I don't think there was any other sequence of draws that would've bailed you out of that situation

Love that it still asked if you were sure you wanted to target the cats while controlling the sacrifice decks turn

That second game could make it into an anime.

It's actually pretty remarkable how pretty much none of your opponents ever play something truly home-brewed or interesting. Every card game has its cookie-cutter netdecks, but Arena is somewhat unique in the sheer amount of people who just slavishly copy whatever shows up in the latest tier list. Anyway, thanks for the entertaining videos and high level gameplay. Much appreciated. :)

That's the main reason why I liked playing in the play queue as opposed to ladder. You run into way more interesting decks, although early concessions and weird matchmaking are an issue there.

What a funny deck. I do have a question though: what rule prevents you from conceding on the enemy's behalf when controlling them? Or like.. making them eat their cards? (Apart from basic human decency.)

@@NecromancyForKids That is certainly true and makes a lot of sense! But from an outsiders perspective, MTG often has cards that put "Rules as written" above common sense. For instance infinite combos are possible because, well, cards just interact that way, even though the concept is absolutely insane.

I just open Emerakul on Draft, Also, I missed this format so much!! those were great days.

First deck I've seen LVD use with Emrakul and it's running the exact combo that got Emrakul banned in standard all those years ago... classic...

Might also not be a bad idea to click on the opponent’s deck to see what’s in their sideboard when they have a Karn

You control your opponent on *their* next turn. If you have an extra turn(s), you’ll just gain control of the targeted opponent once their turn begins.

Pretty sure you get the the next turn depending on what you cast first. If you cast Emra first then i assume you play the opponents hand first and so forth. Havent tried it myself tho so i could be mistaken.

and what if you are controlling the other player, and you cast one of their Extra Turn spell - do you control the second or have you set them up for two once you finish controlling them?

No, the rope quickly ends your turn controlling them.

You could have also made the courier another jhoira and force them choose one due to the legendary rule.

Historic does have a higher deck variety but the power level is much higher . A deck like this is too slow for historic. It will get eaten alive.
