The black NES carts are TENGEN unlicensed releases. Nintendo had such a strangle hold on licensing for that system that some companies took a less than legal approach to releasing games for it.

That's me and my TVs at 1:46! I'm hoping in the years to come I'll be able to have even more screens from my collection at the show (currently I have enough to fill at least three of those tables!). It was so much fun seeing everyone's eyes light up upon entering the convention and seeing my display.

$400 on the TG-16?! I bought one at the same show for $120. Also, I'm pretty sure that Jaguar and CD was $2200 for the pair, not each. The Jag console alone is a couple of hundred bucks; the trick is to find a -toilet seat cover- Jaguar CD that's still working.

I know 80s to early 90s is your gaming era of focus but if you could incorporate some panning shots to show the other games on offer even if you don’t highlight them by picking them up and stating the price it would be much appreciated!

I stopped going to retro world years ago. Stuff is cheaper on ebay. The Last year I went I offered a guy 400 bucks for a 450 dollar game and he turned it Down. If you want to go to the best gaming convention around that would be PAX East boston convention center late March early April every year.

Ghostbusters on the genesis is 5x the price because it's a completely different much better game. Very fun action platformer and an underrated genesis title IMHO. The Master System is a slightly more tolerable port of the pretty meh C64 game which was ported to a bunch of stuff including the NES, considered a pretty bad game overall by many.

The black NES cartridges were Tengen games. They were a non-sanctioned manufacturer during the 80s.

that's not entirely true, there are also licensed NES games from Tengen.

There’s a fine line between making money and gouging people, and this isn’t it. These things just take advantage of people naive of what prices actually are or who just want to buy impulsively. Some of the prices on here are double what the same items sell for on eBay

  • @chrismeulen8108

a better way to ask for prices, total up the number and come up with a price you feel is fair, in this case 95 dollars, instead of asking "can you do any better on the prices" , i would have simply shown them and asked, can you do these for 85? the black NES carts are UNLICENSED games, those also exist in blue.

These prices are awful, it pains me to see people supporting these scalpers. What a rip off.
