@@TwoMadExplorers Yeh ... the place you went, Kali, a working fisherman's village. Google up Jaz Beach in Preko or even Preko old town (both north of the ferry). Unfortunately, you really do need a car to get to places on the island. Trust me, we visit every summer! We don't go anywhere without a car! You may be able to bike it, but I never tried (I'm just not that young anymore). My favorite swimming spot is by Samostan SV. Jeronima in Ugljan Village, a place mostly frequented by locals. If you want an awesome sunset, go to Muline (northern tip of island). South of Kali is a town called Kukljica. A lot going on there. Enjoy your trip!

The town the ferry brought you... Was it preko? Is it hard to travel between the islands next to zadar?

Hi! Yes the Town is called Preko :) It is very easy to get to all the Islands around Zadar and also further. We would suggest to take normal ships like Jadrolinija though, because they are very inexpensive. If you want to go with a tourist ship it's around 30-40 Euro per person. @@TwoMadExplorers thanks, very kind of you! We booked an apt in preko, first week of august, so we'll have to get a car ferry at least once. But we want to explore the surroundings without the car... And are complete dorks regarding sea travel lol. If you say we can get 10eur tickets for example dugi otok island, thats great news indeed!
