GUYS..... I KNOW! This is a super late upload, I wasn't even able to film an intro because my computer ran out of storage. But this will show you what a 3 bedroom duplex looks like on Edwards Air Force Base

Thank you for making & sharing this GREAT video! I was stationed at Edward's from 96-06. My family lived in Area B before it was torn down & Area I (we were the 1st to live in that house) It is a 3 Bed 2 & 1/2 Bath with a 1 & 1/2 car garage. It was built very similar to your house. I left Edward's in 07 & am excited to be able to share your video with my daughter's who are now adults. Your Awesome!

I was stationed there 1990 - 1997 I saw on google earth that all of the housing in my area (Chanute Drive ) was completely torn down. Do they still use Swamp Coolers for A/C?

How do you like Edwards so far? Do you plan on visiting LA or any of the surrounding cities? Edwards is on my dream sheet and I wouldn’t mind being stationed there.

Hello! I personally love Edwards, not only does the base provide a ton of amenities (pre-could, but slowly reopening) but it's a short drive away from Vegas, LA, and the mountains. You could very easily go skiing and the beach all on the same day. I have explored the LA area, Orange County, and Las Vegas, and they are all great in their own unique way. People that come from towns with a lot of stuff to do in a short distance do have a harder time accommodating because the base itself can be a bit bare. But overall, it's great and it's what you make of it.

Hi Nick, Tha k you for your Service! I was stationed at Edward's AFB for 10 & 1/2 years. Edward's either grows on you and you love it or you hate it. The desert life can be very difficult for anyone with a family (your in the middle of nowhere). If you like being in a remote area, (unless things have changed, you will not receive remote pay), and extreme heat (Temps of 110+ every summer & Temps of low 20s every winter) then Edward's may or may not be a good choice for you.

Hi@@pingquoy456 I'm glad you love Edward's. When I first was Stationed there, Burger King, The (food court) Commissary were either not built or were in the process of being built. We also did not have a car wash. I'm happy to hear your happy. :)

What kinds of activities have you done since arriving to Edwards? I will be there in November. Been looking on Google maps and looks like a desert -_-

Yes it is in the middle of the desert, but anything you want to do off base is within a two hour drive. You can go to Hollywood, many beaches, and the mountains to ski within a 2 hour drive. Base also has a lot. There are 3 pools, (coming soon) splash pad, bowling alley, (free) arcade, (free) movie theater, stocked pond for fishing, riding trails for off road vehicle/dirt bikes, and many, many parks. If you take the opportunity to use all these facilities you’ll fall in love with the base like I have!

@@pingquoy456 thanks for the information. How is on base housing? Sorry for the questions, I would ask my sponsor but I don’t have one yet

Isaac So the housing is generally nice! There are a few non-updated houses, but they are working on fixing those houses up for the new tenants as people move out. There is currently a long waitlist so I would suggest getting on the list ASAP.

@@pingquoy456 Aw crap. Do you know about how long?? I know I have to wait for my orders to put my name on the list. Working on that now.

Isaac So I can’t give you an exact answer, it depends on many factors such as rank and where you’re coming from. But I’ve just seen it be a common complaint from people PCSing this year.

Hello! This housing is primarily for NCOs. However, if SNCO or officer housing isn't available, they will place the members where ever there is room. Such as this type of house until something become available.
