I'm so in love with those brick arches and the layout, very different than what you can find in Canada (at least in my area). That landlord special though 🙄

Well done on your purchase!!! My suggestion for your stove (I've had a similar issue) is to buy the stove top you want, and get a piece of mdf/similar cut and glued in to hold the stove top until you have funds to replace your benches. Then go buy yourself a nice long wooden board (kmart does lots of them in nz) and put it over the mdf/particle board. Store oil etc on the top end of it and use the bottom end (closest to you) as a space for hot pots to sit. No one will ever know! And means you don't have a huge outlay for something where you would Maybe rather spend elsewhere. It's a great space!!! Well done you :)

Absolutely beautiful!! Honestly that bathroom tile IS pretty, once cleaned up I think it’d come out as an artsy choice rather than a dated tile. Can’t wait to see how you decorate!

Congratulations Sharon on your beautiful home. That layout is my dream apartment, I never liked the open floor plans. Love the exposed brick walls. It gives me New York vibes. Can't wait for you to give your own touch to this new space.

That countertop thickness is actually just a façade. I forget the term for it. It's like the face they put on the edge and you can get it in any size, usually people get 1 or 2 inch ones.

Stove manufacturers can make a metal frame to fill the space around it, just like a fireplace company.

This apartment is gorgeous! I cannot wait to see all the amazing decorating you do!!! On a side note, I hadn't seen one of your videos in my feed for months! I checked and I'm still subscribed and I used to see every new upload of yours so idk what's happened but maybe the algorithm is doing something weird to your channel. Went to rewatch a sewing tutorial and found you had a load more videos when I had assumed you were on a break!

The floor tiles in this place are so beautiful but the kitchen tile I think you can keep the original for 1-2 sides. I think it’s not the most beautiful but it’s original. Haha. The reason it’s leaning toward ugly (sorry) is because it’s covered 4 sides of the kitchen. So happy for you! Congrats!!

I have replaced a similar cook top We removed it and placed another piece of melamine over the top , with a cooktop in it. It does create raised lip, but it is a quick, inexpensive alternative to replacing the bench top ( which might be impossible) The thick bench top is just a piece attached to a normal thickness bench top

Your stove top can be replaced if you can get your hands on the following brands :beko, bosch or whirlpool. They should be available where you are possible to import. I work for an appliance manufacturer and I know personally we make a 95cm stove top but you wouldn't be able to buy this brand as its not possible to get where you are

500k?! For100sqm? In Sydney? I'm stumped! And definitely don't paint the brick! You should have a look around at stencils for the dining room feature wall, we have previously used floral stencils and created a mural that looks like wllaper which was more adorable and didn't do anything to the wall surface so was easy when we eventually painted over it. I'm sure there would be examples of this on Pinterest if that didn't make sense!
