Speaker bio:
Johan Jaehyong Heo, a co-founder of the non-profit organization Root Impact in 2012, identifies and supports changemakers who innovate solutions for social and environmental issues, cultivating an ecosystem for their sustainable growth. Root Impact drives initiatives for “Equitable Future Education,” “Sustainable Cities,” and “Workplace Diversity and Inclusion,” including programs like “Reboot Camp” to assist women who have experienced career interrupts due to childbirth and childcare, and the communal workplace daycare center “Forest for All.” In 2022, he was recognized for his contributions to building South Korea’s social innovation ecosystem, selected as an Obama Asia Pacific Leader and receiving the Presidential Citation at the 4th Korea Social Economy Fair. Prior to founding Root Impact, he graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Business Administration and worked as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company.
