Employees Made Ultimate Sacrifice To Save This Company

Ойын-сауық

Dan Price, the CEO who took a pay cut to make sure all of his employees earned a $70,000 minimum wage, found himself faced with the possibility of having to close his business when the pandemic hit. After Dan helped his staff before, the same employees returned the favor by sacrificing their paychecks to keep his business going and now they're working to save other local businesses from shutting down.

I remember seeing the original story and thinking that this is the way people should be. This is how businesses should run. I thought it was amazing then. I am blown away but at the same time not surprised that his employees did this. The company and the people as a whole are a shining example of what good can happen when you give. You should give freely. However, the more positivity you spread, the more you are surrounded by it. Thanks for sharing these stories. I usually need to wipe my tears after most of these segments.

RIGHT?! I often find conservatives talking about ‘trickle down economics’. THIS IS WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE. THIS is trickle down economics! When you pay your employees well, they can then recirculate that money back into the economy by supporting other businesses, buying homes, and moving society forward by starting families. Not fucking Wall Street, insider trading, and making profit by cheating out as much as possible.

Small businesses provide 70% of the new jobs every year. Government and big business provide the rest. So based on that simple fact, why is the Government not offering tax incentives and better legislation to make small businesses prolific. It's pretty simple. Follow the money. Small businesses cannot afford to hand millions to bolster politicians war chests. Lee Iaccoca was one of the first to announce how much the employees of Chrysler stepped up and helped to keep them in business. His premise was if management was willing to take a cut in wages and benefits then employees will follow suit. It all hinges on management taking the first step. Iacocca took a million dollar a year cut.
