Couldn’t agree more. Was new into the world of TOTL IEMs and followed the recommendations of many and bought the u12t. Although they were definitely a huge step up from anything I’ve ever heard, they were kind of boring and didn’t fit my listening profile. A week later I bought the evos, and it was a night a day difference. They were warm, detailed and most of all fun. I quickly sold the u12ts and haven’t looked back. Great review!

U12Ts are a fantastic cure to insomnia, it'll put you straight to sleep guaranteed.

Amazing i still prefer them over the Fatfreq Maestros that weapon x thing bass is something

Great video Sajid! Keen to hear your full review esp more elaborate comparison with u12t (esp the resolution). Bassier or more fun iems often sacrifice details/layering

I love your enthusiasm and as an owner of the Campfire audio Atlas’s I think the EVO’s would be a terrific step up. Would you say the EVO’s have a more V-shaped tuning or not?

I have far too many TotL headphones & iems. The Legend Evo rule them all. However, your ears may differ. I definitely wouldn't call them V-shaped tuning. In comparison directly to EE's Odin, the Evo have a tad bid less mids emphasis and way better sub/mid bass. The Odin are outstanding in their own right....IE - I still reach for them when I want to specifically concentrate on a particular vocal performance, but the Evo are still my favs. I will admit that I have the Stormbreaker cable (the one that comes with the Odin) attached to the Evo (picked up on Head-Fi for $450), and I prefer it over the Genesis cable by a slight margin as the mids are a tad better while the bass is a tad tighter.

I just got the Evo. Wow most amazing bass I ever heard! Just what I’ve been looking for! Now I’ll probably sell all my remaining headphones. Are there any over ear closed back headphones that sound similar to the evo that you know of that sound close to full potential from a AK2000 DAP? (Also looking to get the new cayin 8ii) Sometimes I don’t feel like having an iem deep into my ears so looking for a headphone also! Thanks again for your awesome reviews!

A very good day to you is that i have a doubt of the Empire Legend EVO is that i have a Cayin N8ii DAP Player i need a good IEM but a lot of my recording is SACD ISO format which my Cayin N8ii EQ doesn’t work at all i try & I have FLAC & WAV . Mostly of them😮 are Vocals of man & ladies in Oldies to Modern like Celine Dion, Mariah Carley , Norah Jones’s , Susan Wong & etc Plus listen to Orchestra & classic . My main doubt it is nit cheap IEM ,is it going to sound bright & harsh ? I love warm, lush,rich,smooth vocal musicality , tonality balance , good sound staging & depth . Good timbre for treble ( not bright or harsh ), bass frequency( not muddy or boomy ) doesn’t bleed Over to low mid or mid low & mid high of bass & mid range vocal. Hope to hear from you soon❤

just tried them at nyc canjam.the evo for me was the star of the show.i was amazed at the power and intensity of them.just amazing

How much better is Legend EVO than Monarch? this hobby is a rabbit hole, there is always tempation with much higher price tag.

Yes indeed...great compliment to each other. The Evo are way more musical, while the U12T's are known more for their accuracy, even with the bass bump. I actually found the U12T quite boring to my ears and much preferred 64 Audio's Nio (especially since you can adjust tuning with Apex...M15 preferred) and the Trio even more.

If you could only get one would it be the Odin or the Legend Evo? I already own a U12T and Mest MKII.

It's a nice cross between the TC and the Susvara, with mids closer to Susvara and bass closer to TC. I haven't tried the Sultan but it's supposed to a nice listen, from those who tastes I trust..

I heard the fir audio xe6 is better. Have you compared them??

Don't have the i4 in hand yet. Hope to have it in hand in the next few days. I loved the i4 when I tried it - not a typical IEM experience at all.

Not better than the Susvara. But I would have a hard time picking the LCD5 over this one. Form factor is of course in favor of the IEMs.
