Yeah it's a rather classical moment of intensity in BM history. another very intense, but super underestimated moment is the end-blast bit of Satyricon "the scorn torrent".

Speechless EVERYTIME. My first EMPEROR live experience was back in 97 (first time they visited Greece) and even though circumstances were ..... unfavorable (to put it mildly), I knew I was witnessing the best BM to come out of Norway and one of the best of all times. I was sorry for ENSLAVED and happy for EMPEROR, to say that Trym is phenomenal, is an understatement. (btw, happy bday 😊)

This band needs to reunite. As a huge emperor fan I just never liked Ishahns solo stuff.

Favorite. I was 17 in '97 when I bought the Candlelight pressing and ended up playing the living f*ck out of it. On one particularly memorable occasion I played it over and over as I did artwork, very high on Oregon meth. Still have my copy, and it's just as pristine as it was the day I brought her home.

The last part of this song always seemed so inhuman to play. Unreal how fast it's played.

Emperor is the most effective and amazing true black metal but İhsahn said in Turkey black metal is barbaric music i think he s new kinda music made him soft. what you think Trym?
