Sea World San Diego has to have the coasters over a certain height match the blue skyline. San Diego has required them to do that. Agreed Manta is still the best coaster at Sea World San Diego. I prefer Griffon and Sheikra to it. The best thing about the Emperor is the views. As you go up the lift hill, downtown San Diego to your right, and then you get great views of the bay and ocean. It is butter smooth right now which is another plus with no B&M rattle. The zero g roll was y favorite moment along with the drop. It is a fun coaster, but not anywhere close to being elite. Again the views were amazing.

They also have to only build in that one corner of the park, and, even with the required blue paint, I think there’s STILL a max height of something like 175 feet regardless of whatever other hoops The city of SD makes Sea World jump through

Yukon Striker is the only dive coaster from B&M I rode, and let mesay, I love these things. Now Yukon Striker is much moremassive than Emperor, but I still love the creativity that B&M is putting into their new dive coasters these days. They really improved with Yukon Striker, Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger, and Emperor in terms of layout and creativity.

I got to marathon Emperor about 2 weeks after it opened and I’d have to agree with your review…it’s FUN. The hang time before the drop was actually great from the front, but not so much in the back due to visibility. And of those 10 rainy days in San Diego…I definitely caught one. Lol

I waited 45 minutes in the queue on Thursday 14 April. Suspect some summer break crowds. I did Griffon and Sheikra a week or two earlier on the same trip and I agree with your comments.

Seems like a nice ride! Probably a good fit as well
