OMG! Your video is a lifesaver and Empava needs to pay YOU a commission!!! I just bought this same oven and the manual is just worthless. It not only doesn't translate well, it just does not even address so many things....like the rotisserie! They just send you the skewer with a hook attached with no instructions whatsoever and no videos or tutorials, except yours, to explain anything! After trial and error, I've figured out all the buttons. I am debating keeping this oven for several reasons, but at least now from the comments below I've found out how to attach the skewer to use the rotisserie! THANK YOU!

We just got the same oven! Thanks for the overview! No issues at all with ours, works great!! Got it installed just in time for Thanksgiving dinner. I cooked a 13 pound turkey in it on true Convection Roast and it was done faster than expected.

I do not know how to cook in this! Everytime I put it on bake for my temp it does not heat up in fact it will heat up a bit then go down also I turned off the timer and when I did the whole oven turned off I just made a lasagna and it took over two hours ugh also I never received a rotisserie part for mine I only received a broil pan !

Please notice the timer to the right and above the temperature setting. Preheat sets 33 mins I belive then shuts off, remember the display shows different information with different settings, I.E. bake shows 350 and 2:00 hrs, preheat shows temperature and 0:33 for 33 mins, the timer icon when used can adjust these settings, when held can change the default to your liking once set. I know it's a bit confusing since they limited the amount of buttons by making them multi function depending on how long, or when they are pressed.

Ours cleans as it heats, we only have to wipe up big spills. We really like ours so far they are very good.

Glad you got one that works. Mine will not maintain heat. I'm ready to throw it out the window!

Does the oven have to be connected to a 110v or 240v mine only goes to 221*F

We just bought this same oven and was wondering if the temp stays where you set it to. For example if you set it to "Bake" & set the temperature to 375* does it fluctuate up and down once it reaches that temp. I have heard that it doesn't stay on that exact temperature.

THANK YOU for posting this. It is so frustrating to have zero videos that show anything real about this stove. I'm a bit nervous about setting mine up, as the instructions state "This is a built-in oven, and its back wall and one side wall can be placed next to a high piece of furniture or a wall. Coating or veneer used on fitted furniture must be applied with a heat-resistant adhesive (215 ). This prevents surface deformation or detachment of the coating." I want to use it similar to you (surrounded by wood), except it will be under the counter/cooktop surface. I don't want anything to get too hot. I was also concerned about installing it via DIY (my only option right now) and that possibly voiding the warranty, but I didn't see that stated directly in the manual. It simply stated that the stove installation "should" be done by someone qualified/authorized. If you have any comments or suggestions about the installation/hardwiring for this, please let me know. (I read a review somewhere where someone said the instructions for this were completely wrong.) Thanks again for posting a real video.

Preheat to me was a useless feature, I just set the bake temp and time (more then needed) and waited 5-10 mins to heat up.

I just installed mine. The temp always shows 32°F & doesn’t change. Is there something I’m missing on a setting?

Could you do one more video explaining how to set the "oven timer" for timed cooking. All the oven booklet says for first use is to set temp at 480 degrees for 30 minutes. I can't figure out the timer part?!

For anyone having issues with time cooking, notice when I press the bake button, the led segment above shows 2:00 that means 2 hours, use the timer icon and the up and down temp arrows to change from 2 hours to up to 8 hours.

How do you use the rotisserie? The rod seems very unstable is there an additional piece because I only got the rod with the two forks on it and the black handle that screws in. The door doesn’t close with the handle attached.

The rod goes in the right corner, the weight of the item keeps the tension on the rod support, and you do not close the door with the handle attached, you unscrew it to cook, and screw it back on when your rotisserie is complete to remove the food. It will close with the handle off you should have received in the packaging a "S" shaped hook that attaches to the left front of the oven opening up high, you will see a spot it hooks into, the larger portion hooks around the rods larger end at the spindle where the handle screws on.

We just installed this oven. How do you switch from preheat to bake without having to turn it off then back ok.

Very easy, they include a silver support shaped like a hook, one side has a larger Diameter for the skewer bushing, in the right corner in the rear of the stove shown in my video lies the rotisserie drive The square shaft for the skewer plugs into that, diagonally from right rear to left front of stove, the shaft will be situated corner to corner, the hook simply attaches to the left front upper bracket near the broiler elements, and floats in the U shaped bend of the hook, to the skewer bushing.

Empava support

As for the Lower Element: I've confirmed there is a lower element under the bottom chamber. Put my hand on the smooth bottom and set the oven to BAKE. It Gets HOT pretty fast! Note: Having that element underneath the smooth bottom makes the oven bottom much easier. No worrying about pulling element(s) out for cleaning.

Hey Fern or Rick or anyone.. Can you please explain how you figured out how to keep the temperature at a constant degree? I can't even get it to go up to 450°, it stops about 420°

I have absolutely no idea how to use this. I just moved into a place that has one. When I turn it on to bake at 450, how do I know it’s ready? Do. I have to preheat then set to bake? How do I know it’s done? What does the time at the top mean when something is in there? There literally no video besides this one

Clock and cook timers, you do not have to preheat unless you want to. Preheat is fixed at a 425 degree setting, you can change it to regular bake and set for 450 manually. Should take about 14 minutes to reach temp

I'm in the exact same boat! I can't stand this oven, mostly because I can't figure out how to use the damn thing!

Thanks so much for making this video! I set my temp to bake at 400 but it never reached the the desired temp. The temperature went back down as law as 205. What am I doing wrong? Also it took about 40 min to reach 341 F

I’m also having this issue! I will preheat the oven, it gets to temp, and then there is no way to switch to bake. So then I turn it off, hit bake, set the temp and it wont hold. Incredible frustrating. Any help greatly appreciated!

@@obivos I recently reached out to the company. I don’t preheat I started to just hit bake and give it time to get to temp and then put my food in. This is what the company told step by step. Turn oven on. Hit bake or conv bake or whatever your gonna use. Then set your temp and then set the timer and then hit ok. It’s worked for me so far!

I am thinking of buying empava appliances do you still like it?

Just bought this oven for my newly remodeled kitchen, just curious if you had to put any extra ventilation inside your cabinet? I'm also installing a Empava cooktop above this.

How does the rotisserie work. Im expecting a rod(skewer) horizontally place on the left and right wall. But you show a hole in the back wall of the unit...I don't understand how that setup actually spins a chicken 360 degrees.

You place the rod into the hole In the rear, and support it from the front left corner with an S hook looped around a steel channel where the handle screws on to remove the food after cooking, it spins when you select the rotisserie function. The rod inserts in the rear right, terminates in the front left. Did this explain it for you?

You don't, you can raise the default to up to 8 hours, from its standard setting of 2 hours, then whenever you say bake a roast, it will default to 8 hours versus the 2 from the factory which would shut it down early. 8 hours is the maximum run time of this stove without having to set it again, and if you think about it, how many times does tbe average family cook in an oven for over 8 continuous hours? Twice or 3 times a year? Just reset it and you get another 8 hours by pushing a button.

just got mine and on day one the light bulb gave out. can I use a 120v g9 or does it need to be 240v?

Okay you guys aren't doing anything wrong, The temperature on this stove is measured with raw data It's check constantly every second whereas I still that you may be used to check it every minute or so That's why you're seeing the numbers jump all over Think average temperature versus true temperature

@angiepomeroy842 all stoves do this, if you set them at 400, they go up and down with the thermostat when it drops below the set temp, then kicks on the elements to bring it back up, the difference with these stoves are the temperature is taken in real time, constantly, there is no time buffer that you're used to. So yes it will go up and down up to approximately 20 degrees, but for all intents and purposes, 380 is still 400 its just reporting the true, not average temp that most stoves show.

@angiepomeroy842 now if it keeps going down, let's say to 300 with a setting of 400 make sure you're not using a preheat cycle, OR you have the timer set under 2 hours which is the default, you can raise the default 2 hours up higher, say 4 hours or more to prevent it from shutting down too soon. It's a safety feature so you don't accidentally leave it on indefinitely and burn the bungalo down

Thanks for the reply. I used convection bake today and at first it seemed to work better. But then as I was baking my Mac and cheese…I had cooked for an hour and needed to cook another half hour and the oven kept turning off. I’d turn it on..set it again…walk away and couple min later hear it beep and it would shut off. 😭 I’m just a lil frustrated. I have until 1/31 to return it. Not sure what to do.

I have one of these, led light went out within 6months. Doesn't show how to replace it. Do you know?

Inside oven light I'm not sure, I did replace my entire touch panel mine had a bad segment, but the entire stove was easy to open up. The oven light I'm just not sure never had to replace it. I'm sorry

I have this oven, for probably two months now. I have not been using it due to the fact i try to put it at a certain temperature lets say 350 and i want to bake something one i dont know if you need to pre heat it and once i do pre heat how do i switch over to bake? I hit bake wait for it to hit my desire temp and once i start to bake the oven will begin to fluctuate in temperature it will go down to 320-330 then up to 360-370 it will not STAY at one temp that I'm asking for what am i doing wrong????!!! I miss older ovens where all you would do it hit preheat it beeps when ready you set your time and done this oven has caused me to not want to bake anything its very discouraging but i would love to learn how to use it because i dont plan on moving out of my house so i am stuck with it HELP!

Sorry for the late reply I don't really check this very often, The pre heat button brings the stove up to Temperature but it's not something that I really use when baking There is a timer limit of two hours and then the stove will shut down you could change that to a higher number say four hours The fluctuation in temperature that you're seeing is the raw data from the thermal couple they do not filter this means On an old school stove that you're used to Even though the internal temperature of the stove is changing they're only checking the temperature say once every minute where is the stove is checking the temperature every second that's why you see the fluctuation it's nothing to worry about

Yes real spinning spit, all included with the unit. It allows about 6-7 inches or a small chicken or 3lb roast

Does yours beep once the desired 😢temperature is reached? Also once the time is done , while I was baking cookies (in batches), it turns completely off 😒

Yes, it beeps, set your bake time with the clock icon from 2 to say 4 hours to get more time.

Steven its 220v so 3 wires are used. In your home you have red, black and white. Red and black are your hot L1 and L2 and neutral is white. Please note neutral in 220 is not Ground. You need a separate wire for that. So total 4 wires. There is no plug end. In the box is a piece of 3/4 BX 4 conductor, the cable connects in the top of the stove, rearward and screw terminals with ring ends are used on the stove side.

I came across one of these with a customer of mine. She can't figure out how to use it. Hit power to bake and set temperature, then this things stays in standby mode and counts down from 6 minutes and turns off. Can't get it to do anything else.

Not sure what you are saying, i set at 400 its cooks at 400, the lcd display is going to show an average temp, of course as the elements engage and disengage the heat is going to fluctuate but for all intents and purposes, its cooking at 400. This is a food grade residential product, not a lab oven. By the way, it makes perfect cookies, evenly cooked.

Ah Joy, yes I see this as well as the unit is baking. It fluctuates a lot as the unit is maintaining temp. Most likely due to placement of the sensor and the sensor does not have any readout buffering so once in operation it does swing around 20 degrees i have seen. I would consider this normal operation.

just bought one of these and the things doesn't come on at all. When i plut it up, i hear a beep but nothing else. the touch doesn't light up or anything as if there's power going to it or as if it's still unpluged

Look at some other posts, this has been explained, rod plugs into the square opening in the rear and is supported by the s hook up front

220 standard stove wiring

Update : Empava support was very responsive to my inquiry, they replaced my stove with a brand new unit. I had purchased the extended warranty, but parts coming in from China are having serious delivery issues past the USA ports. So replacement was a faster option. Unfortunately due to covid, I'm unable to get an electrician to swap it out due to restrictions in my state, and backlog of jobs. I can easily do this but I want a receipt of professional installation for my insurance company in the event of a fire, I would not want a claim denied due to my own installation.

What Is the Thermo fuse? If it's a element overheat protector that's an internal part that requires a part replacement or a service. Contact support if you feel a safety feature is compromised. A KZread channel cannot solve this for you. If you have electrical experience, this should not present a problem for repair.

Can you change it to Celcius?

Yes to the left of the OK button you will find a thermometer icon, hold for 4 seconds with power on, in idle mode

Anyone having issues with the timer? We cannot get our timer to turn off. One timer is at 00:01 and when it stops the oven turns off. The other is set at 00:31 and it counts UP not down. The oven kept cutting off so we couldn't even get it up to temp.

The timer is tricky, it presets to 2 hrs, but you can change it higher, I found that out while cooking as well. My chicken was half done since it shut down In 2 hours, that is explained in the manual abit sketchy

I just cancel, and then back on, they default to a 2 hour cook, I believe it's a euro safety feature, if you need more cook time, you set it after you begin baking up to 4 hours.

Hit the timer icon, it will indicate 2, raise it to 4. From old memory.. sold that home with the stove so I'm no longer able to access it.

I got this oven too, it’s getting heat to 300 F in 45 min I try to cook regular chicken it didn’t cook 2 hr I gave up and put in garbage… either I don’t know how to use this oven or something wrong with oven or useless product

It's a 220 oven, not 110 sounds like you have it wired improperly. 70-300 should only take 5-8 min

@@jacekinyon1736 have you contacted support or checked your wiring? L1 and L2 should be showing 110v each leg to make 220v at least 30amps, it should not take more then 7-10 mins to reach 350

There's no real user manual for this - And the English in the very thin manual that comes with it is not good at all.

It is a translation manual, so not as good as a full on English book. But the software programming is basic, button holds are 4 seconds, icons learn by process of elimination. It's really an easy stove to master, cooks very well

No it's not very intuitive based on an American design we are all used to growing up. The computerized controls and multi function options once learned makes it very easy to use, as you learn to control it. You will begin to see the design is not only smart, but safe as well. Just need to get over that hurdle
