Pre 73 vehicles are already emp proof. If you can find one.
Great video man! I have had one for about 3 years now. Honestly I really hate talking about this product because every time it is brought up there is ENDLESS arguing and debate. Everyone in the comments claim they are an expert in electronics and nobody can agree on anything. My stance on this is if you want one to have some peace of mind, just buy one. Its like $400. Its not worth trying to do 6 months of research on this before you buy one, because if you do, you aren't ever going to decide. Nobody is really gonna know for sure if this works 100% or not unless someone has this installed and their vehicle gets struck by lightning. If it works, great. If not, you got bigger problems to worry about.

Yes, you can know for sure if it will work, 100% before an event because of what is inside of it. It is wires that lead to one LED lightbulb - that's it. It has no other function but to keep an LED illuminated. What if that LED burns out early; or it gets cracked so it doesn't work? Then what? Peace of mind comes from evidence of effect, you know this. Open up the device and see for yourself! That's all it takes.

I am very familiar with the product marketed as EMP Shield, and have a background in electronics and radiation physics that spans many years. I suggest you have a friend who is a HAM radio operator or similar background evaluate the product before continuing to promote it. Same goes for potential purchasers.

It's been tested and evaluated extensively and has passed all military emp proofing standards! The DHS has even outfitted thier vehicles with it...(not that I'm a fan of the DHS, but I'm just sayin) It's been verified by emp specialists and electircal engineers and people alot smarter than me, and that's enough for me since i have no real world way of testing it myself...what's the alternative? No protection?

@@PilotPatriot If you are so bold as to follow my advice, have your friend question the 'EMP specialists' in the white coats. I did, and it became a mumbo jumbo marketing word salad rather than a discussion of electrical fact. That's a big red flag. Most vehicles have pretty decent built in shielding of the ECM(s) and wiring harnesses these days. To supplement that protection, parking under a metal roof or constructing a Faraday cage/cover may be beneficial. I would be more concerned with ionizing radiation than an EMP.

@@Robnord1 Yea, I appreciate the advice and the concern, i really do and thanks for commenting!. But i have to say EMP shield is pretty tranparent and has all of the paperwork and military testing documents available to review. But just to go along with what you said, I prefer to be as prepared as possible, so lets assume that even if your concern is vaild and this product doesn't work 100% as advertised (which may or may not be true)...I'd still rather have some additional protection for my vehicle that has the possibility of saving it in these situations! Otherwise....what have I lost? The EMP would fry my truck anyway so unless you know of another product that would do the job better, I'm choosing to trust the EMP Shield. For me it's worth the investment if only for the possibility that it will work!

Great topic/video. I was considering something like this months ago but never looked into it. Thanks!
With my luck when the EMP hits I’ll be on an empty gas tank.
The testing results from the product itself is exactly that. Referencing keystone compliance results page 8-9 EMP Shield, there is no proof it protects all other components. Could you please explain how this works for trucks fuses, electronic chips, and all other components in the engine? If the only thing emp shield is attached to is the battery then the best outcome is a 400$ product that could possibly save a battery. Overall the outcome of a EMP or NEMP will still result in the truck not working due to all the additional electrical components that make a vehicle run. Best solution in my opinion is older vehicles 1960-1980, or even a dirt bike with spare electrical components stored in a faraday cage.
Great video. Thank you for sharing!
Didn't know anything like this (especially this simple) even existed. Thanks man! Love your videos

They don't, it's a empty junction box from Lowes with some silicone and a LED. The device literally doesn't do anything, it's a complete scam. I really really hope you wasted $400 on it because that would be funny.
7.3 Godzilla, going to order one for mine
Is the opening in the unit open or sealed? Can water get in it? Also, are the terminal ends that connect to the battery, ground and frame soldered?
Thx for the video. Relevant topic Wonder how many V/m before the device itself is fried - if it can manage to shut the engine down before it is fried itself. Russia has EMP-weapons that gives 200.000 V/m in an area as large as Europe. Most all EMP-safety measures today are from the Cold War - app. max 15.000V/m

My question is if you have a cb radio and a mobile ham radio mounted in your vehicle will it protect them as well?

Supposed to protect the whole vehicle electrical system from what I understand which I assume would apply to anything plugged into the system
Are you sure its grounded properly in the alumi-duty? I wouldn’t trust the indicator light, it comes on green with just the positive and negative attached? I have a 22 super duty and Im trying to be sure that I have a good ground.

No, because they the devices don't do anything at all except drain the battery very slowly. Open up the devices and see. All that is in it is wires going to an LED light. That's it.
I will be installing mine in the next hour!
I know everyone has some kind of Mad Max fantasy going in their heads, but if EMP is an issue I don't think there are going to be a lot of places left to drive to. The air/space burst detonations which cause EMP are a preliminary strike to blind an enemy to the full on strike that is inbound. Your "deflector shield" equipped pick up truck is going to be just so much flying debris when that fire mission lands. You'd be better off taking cover where you are. Of course, everyone has a gadget to sell that does some miracle thing by defying the laws of physics. A box with a few wires sticking out of it must be worth the money, right? I mean, if it doesn't work they'll give you your money back, once the dust settles? Oh, by the way; ground vehicles are fairly resistant to EMP without the box of wires. Their electronic wires tend to be short so they are ineffective antennas to receive EMP energy. The car's body and frame will take the biggest hit, but with no electronics you'll hardly notice.
My husband said the Marine corp invented the EMP and there’s nothing that can stop it.

Ummm an EMP is a pluse of electromagnetic energy that can occur naturally and at varying intensity levels. Im not sure anyone really invented it so much as discovered it in solar reasearch or as a byproduct of nuclear testing. But of course it can be blocked and/or redirected...that's why Faraday cages and grounding rods are a thing! I agree you couldn't be 100% sure that your efforts to block it would be effective in every case but there's no doubt it's possible.

@@PilotPatriot There is absolutely nothing this can do to prevent emp damage. An emp pulse is a strong magnetic field that induces a current in everything it comes across. There is nothing this box can do to prevent a voltage spike being induced inside the circuit board of your ECU from a separate part of the vehicle. Take this apart and you will see it has nothing but nonsense components to make it look convincing to a novice and an led.
sounds like fear porn. were these tested against the things you claimed would effect my truck by an emp, nuclear bomb or suns solar flare?
