Sam. I have been following your channel since you were drifting in your 33.4. I have seen how much you have grown not only as a driver but as a husband and now a father. I know without a doubt. These difficult times are something you will overcome. Once you are past this. You will look back and see how much you truly have improved.

I learned that instead of being deep in your head about all the fears and letting the anxiety envelope your way of thinking. i just learned to SEND IT, and that helped me out ALOT. you overthink things that havent even happened before your lap. Then you start your lap still thinking about all that bs then you start over correcting and sinking yourself deeper into your fears and anxiety. Just send tf out of it.

Unfortunately at the level he's competing at now, this is horrible advice. It isn't about fun, it's a true competition. What he needs to do now is figure out how to get himself in sync with the car. No more excuses, just adapt and excel. It's very hard because you have to put everything you thought you knew to the side, be humbled, and learn how to do it all the right way. Sam absolutely has the talent but he's always in his own head no matter whether he does well or not....at some point he will figure out that he has to link with that car on a personal level and just let his talent drive....stop having to think about everything and let the body do what it naturally wants to do. That is when he will truly excel.

That, and before the next season starts, no one even remembers your amatures results cause your shuffled to the back of experts, holding on for dear life... Lol Always, always, always "fight up" the lessons are so valuable!!!

What's the hurry Sam? To be podium I mean. Where's the fun in over analyzing, stressing out, looking for the magic pill? Also, there's some answers in your Naoki video in my opinion. Go watch him drive. He doesn't give a s#)! about the details at the moment, the guy is just bombing the car around the track, pushing on his buddies, radiating with pure fun. He looks "free". Easy for me to say, sitting here at the keyboard, I know :) But I know that feeling well, however its on 2 wheel racing for me. ... but that feeling of just doing and not over analyzing is a comfortable place to be. My point? You got the talent, you got the heart. You got the team, support. And looks like you got the car. Results? There is no magic potion in my opinion. The ever elusive first big win, or first solid competition where it all just works. That is the hardest to achieve in my opinion. You will definitely get there. Once there, It will settle your mind down, and take away the "mystery". Give yourself credit. And ease up just a bit on yourself. Good Luck dude!

Dont see your muscle memory as bad habits, see it as skills learned to compensate for a car that didnt drive itself to this level and now that you have one that is of this level you need to learn how to relax, pick the line and just let her do what she's built for. I can hear how happy the car is with the belts fixed... Congrats bro the new data now that's fixed is the big W you actually got this weekend and now you know what to do with final steering and alignment tweaks to get her dialed even more!

I think warming up your front tires is the most important part when you want to get consistent grip in every lap. When warming up your front tires it’s like ur doing figure 8s but instead of counter steering when trying to rotate the car, you want to turn the car pretty much full lock the way your car is moving while applying throttle to allow the front tires to push and put heat in them, then when the car is almost fully rotated then you want to counter steer to continue the figure 8

I recently learned that automatic belt tensioners have a peak amperage rating. For example, a 1994 Ford F150 belt tensioner has a maximum tension rating for up to 180Amps. If you put a 200Amp alternator it will start to squeak and slip. Similar concept to clutch clamp per horsepower rating. You were definitely overpowering the tensioner with the previous 200+amps alternator.

Sam read!!!! 👌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Self recognition is key. Q 1 run spot on man… fkn spot on. Check the run before the qualifier run… Come out a million miles, wheels spinning in every gear and upset the entry then the rest of the run turned to shit. Little thing to take on board, the 2 Q run you know you fucked it but you used it on a section. Theses wisdom in that, start to see the track as sections, in your practice focus on sections and obviously go from 1 to end…. Once your fluff the entry you turn off as in the run before your Q run… But well done.

really amazing progress. like you said in the video you should work on being smooth with your steering inputs & just get a feel for the car in those extreme scenarios. and your point about picking up the throttle earlier like you said! Good job!
